The ex-secretary at my grumpy's job, she get's an indian check, GA Medicaid and NC Medicaid. By the way she is a blue-eyed, blond indian. She bragged about it. She uses her mother's address in NC and her mother-in-law's address in Ga.
Her brother was going to get a job there and figured out that he would make too much money and him and his wife wouldn't get any more food stamps.
A big CAT loader backed over a guy and killed him last year. Another freeloader run out there after the accident and looked to see what it looked like and then went on state care cause his mental condition was too bad to work. They tried to sue the company.
So don't jump me on her. Me and my son lived off of p-nut butter, mac n cheese and cereal for awhile when I was trying to get back on my feet.
I just feel that ol' red is one of those snotty better than us posters from b.com up to their same old trash. One of the old posters.

I'm backkkkkkkkkkk. Sorry to prove you do gooders wrong. However you seem so interested in what poor people are DOING with your tax money, are you so concerned about the politians that throw good money after bad & etc. I think not or you would be yakking about them. No ,its easier to pick or complain about people down on thier luck. How much food do you think people carry back & say "oh, I'm not hungry so could I have the money back" You all seem to love animals & feed them but people with kids to feed is different. You know the Indian saying about "walk a mile in my shoes" & some of you have walked that mile yourself . Love to you all. The poor people need a hand up not a hand out PERIOD .If someone is unable to work for health reasons or other legitimate reasons I have no problem with them getting help if a family is in a cycle, where generations are on food stamps for no legitimate reason. I say send them to school, train them to work and by gosh get up get out just like me and get a job. WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES WORK 50 HOURS A WEEK AT A JOB AND WE WILL TALK!!

People committing fraud should be reported. The toll free number to report food stamp fraud in any state is 1-800-424-9121.

My brother in law get's his 2 girls food stamps. They get so much that they can't use them all so he goes to the store with them and uses it up so they can get their next month's allotment.

When I was a kid, we could have gotten some kind of public assistance. My father died and my mother had never had a job in her life. (women didn't work back then) But she would not take public assistance and we were pretty hungry sometimes. I guess that is why I never aquired a taste for soft drinks. We got them as a treat about twice a year.

Welfare was a suppose to be a temporary fix during the great depression and it ended up being a crutch. It was never suppose to be a permanent thing.
Social Security, I see people getting it left and right and there isn't a thing wrong with them. Meanwhile I am busting my butt working and it probably won't be there when I need it.
And don't get me started on disability cons.

Yeah, I know one guy that has been getting it for over 10 years and there is nothing wrong with him. His father did the same thing. I would rather work! Welfare was also set up to help women and children whose husbands and fathers were killed in world war II, I think.

I think the welfare issue is like the anything issues.
Bad people make everyone look bad whether they are or not.
Some locals make other locals look bad. Some newcomers make other newcomers look bad. And so on and so forth.
However, if we never ask questions how will we ever learn anything. Plus you never can tell when you might be n Jeopardy.
