Congress is trying to get more oil reserves released. Of course Bush says he will veto. The news said they would have enough to override the veto ;D ;D ;D. Just hope they will do it

Speaking of Poteetes, who is running that place now? Hubby doesn't seem too thrilled by the workers there. Not friendly and he doesn't think they are locals. Think he misses all his ole girlfiriends. LOL!

Someone said they sold it, but I am not sure. I try not to go in as much. I like the stateline better, Marathon gas is cheaper and everyone is there seems to have a great personality.

I go to Hughes, friendly, and they won't tell Kevin if I drink Rockstars. I am not suppose to per the MD, so Kev is Hitler about it sometimes. They also normally are lower then the Stateline.

What is wrong with Hughes? I hate to say it, but I buy all my gas there since Kevin and I got married and Kevin has always as long as I knew him. What am I missing?

betsy, I think maddy was reprimanding you for getting Rockstars when you aren't supposed to! Now if I knew what Rockstars was, maybe I would be scolding, too!

Ok I have two weaknesses Rockstars in the white can, only 20 calories, tons of caffine, no crash. Monstors in the orange can no caffenine, 140 calories, but a crash. Yes I am naughty and I get caught all the time.

Was sitting at the show discussing gas prices. Stepson told me to go by the Kroger at Jasper type in his phone number, and I would get a .10 discount per gallon. On the way home we finally located teh Kroger and gas was posted at $3.71, type in the number at the pump, used my debit card and sure enough got it for $3.61 a gallon.
There was a Pilot station down the road from whre we were staying and gas was the cheapes at $3.68, we decided to wait until we left on Sunday to fill up and it had gone up to $3.78. Glad he told me about Kroger.
Here's how it works, if you have a Kroger in your area.
If you sign up for a Kroger bonus card (like the bi-lo or ingles one) and scan it at the pump before pumping you get .03 a gallon savings. If you spend at least a $100 in groceries at Kroger a month you get .10 a gallon savings. IF you use your Kroger Mastercard for a credit purchase you save .15 a gallon.
Wished we had a Kroger up here.

Bee, I used to buy all my gas at Kroger and still have my card. I guess it never expires, so we buy Kroger gas or better yet Costco in Marietta when we go down.

From the ads I have seen, I wish we had a Kroger close by... they have some awesome sales! I gassed up today for 3.75 out on the Murphy Hwy where Nani's is... It was $3.74 at Walmart yesterday... unusual for NC to have anywhere that is cheaper than Union Co, but it was!

Everybody had better fill up, oil hit a new record high today. When will this insanity stop? Hopefully our next president will try a little harder to find a solution than our current one. Something a little better than "Please Mr. Saudi Arabia, will you give us just a little bit more oil?"
