Wow Bee, these are beautiful. Only problem I can see with starting is my cats. They constantly jump on my lap for lovin. If I lock them out of my room, they cry for me. My gray tiger cat actually calls out Momma.

Sweater together, I like that. Found one on E-bay for $85.00 new and still in the box. I am sure I will be outbid befor eit's over. Which might be ok, because I don't knit and I realized after more research they have to be knitted off the loom, DUH!!!!!
It would be a lot quicker to use up my yarn stash and get some quick afghans made. I don't know about a sweater but long panels are good for numerous items.

Ha, when I first read the above I thought you said "long pants" are good. You might get arrested in Blairsville with pants like that.

I have decided that we need to find someone to let us use an large but empty space. Then we could all bring our gadgets for every kind of craft and set up in our own little space. Then if someone else was doing something I wanted to try we could, or someone wanted to do what I was doing we could.
Then we sell what we made.

YEA for you and Mr. T will be so warm and snuggly.
OK, so far no one has outbid me on the sweater machine and I am almost over my bidder's remorse. Have read several good reviews and found out the problems you have with the machine are usually "user error".
I also am watching 2 small lap looms and thinking about one of those for lilred (or me) to use. She is always wanting to make money at craft shows but she won't settle down long enough to make anything, lap weaving she can come back to. They would be good for felting also. She can make small or medium projects with it.

That't the one I have been looking at at Joann's... Except I want the "deluxe" one that has the attachements so you don't have to buy them separately. They don't always have the deluxe model in stock all the time. The regular price at Joann's is cheaper than Herrschners and they are on sale at 40% pretty often. I ordered from Herrschners one time and will never order from them again. They sent the wrong color of one yarn and wouldn't change it... and for another, I ordered several different colors to do an afghan, but part of the order was not available. So much for wanting to do a certain pattern with that yarn! They would not take back the yarn they did send. Poor customer service and their prices are not the best, either. JMO...

That's the only problem with living in God's country, you can't drive down the street to get a item like this. Or even see one being used or try it before you buy it.
It was brand new, in the box for $85.00 plus shipping of some minute amount.
It's ok, I will stick with the lap loom and move up from there. I need to save my money for surgery.
The reason I bid on it was, I thought I could use up my yarn by making afghans and then sell the afghans at shows. I didn't plan on making anythign but straight row items in a regular stich at a faster pace than hand doing it.

GO over and try one out, see if it is as easy. It's the Ultimate Sweater Machine by Caron. From what I have read online, the only problem you have with it are user error. They even have a toll free hot-line to help you out.

I think the difference is the type of design plates they come with.
