Do the UC Republicans have enough brains to cross over and try to knock LP out in the primary?
Well, do you?
Are you going to support his only viable opposition, Tony Dyer?
Doesn't someone who has the guts to say what everyone else is thinking deserve your vote?
Tony Dyer: "I have been silent during the past few weeks, while Mr. Paris and Mr. Cooper have been trashing me and my campaign through their local paper."
What's it going to be?

I just read Tony's new article on the news section of his site. That looks to be where you got that from. I liked what he had to say. Right on the money.

I understand what you're saying ron, but I personally just can't bring myself to vote a democrat ticket even if it is just for one election. We can support Tony and Gene by other means than our vote though.

Just to make it clear, I would NEVER support Tony Dyer unless he was the only candidate running against Liemar. From what I have read on his website he wants to circumvent the will of the voters, he should ask Liemar what happens when you do that.

Where does it give the idea he will try to circumvent the will of county residents? I want to read into that....I don't remember reading anything like that on his website.

Taken from the "platform" link on Tony's website:
"Upon taking office and consulting with the new County Attorney I will issue restricted and regulated licenses to sell beer and wine in grocery stores and restaurants."

The old timers around here tell me that alcohol was voted on long ago in this county and it was a yes vote....Correct me if I am wrong. I know that liquor was just voted on wasn't it?

I guess I'm an old timer, and I don't know of any such vote ever happening.

Any candidate who is against Lamar is a viable candidate.
Gene has the candidate next door factor, Tony has the running head start and deep county roots, and Justin has the political expertise.

I agree thesosbee, all of the candidates seem to be running on a platform of change. And change, as long as it is done very, very carefully, is exactly what this county needs.

Change won't pay the bills. I prefer pictures of dead presidents. No, really, don't give us meaningless Oh-some-O'buba phrase like "CHANGE." Have you been taking lessons from Hellery Clinton? What the people of Union County want is to be able to live here without breaking the piggy bank for 'change'... If you mean change that will relieve taxes for those on fixed incomes, families, young people, grads, single parents, the unemployed, and better jobs for us wage slaves who are lucky enough to be working, then, this ape is all ears. Don't give me any monkey business. Just tell me HOW you are gonna do it.

FYI:
This is how much Union County property owners have their homes mortgaged for by our elected officials::
for the next 6 years: $27 million splost by the School Board. $31.5 million splost by the commisar.
$10-11 million a YEAR from property taxes X 6 years =$60-66 million by the School System. And that's assuming no property tax increase for the next 6 years.
$7 million a year by the commisar X 6 years =$42 million assuming no property tax increases.
Total=$160.5 -$166.5 million. divided by a 21,000 population = $7,857.00 for every man, woman, and child in the County over a 6 year period.
$7,857 Divided by 6 = $1309.00 a year for every man, woman, and child per year.
Now we know renter's don't pay property taxes, we know lower income spend less, we know the rich are not bothered by high taxes. So that leaves the middle and lower income to pay most of this tax. And the bigger the family, the more you pay.
YOU PEOPLE NEED TO WAKE UP!!

the only change the ape wants is the change in my pocket and your pocket, but first he wants the bills starting with the hundreds first.
Ape, maybe you oughta ask the commisar for more of the cut, sounds like you getting cut short.

Been out doing a little listening the last few days. Looks like Tony Dyer is gonna run a pretty good race.
