I'm not bashing "newcomers" but the reason that Paris got elected in the first place was because of people who moved in and didn't know the real Lamar. And of course Norman Cooper tries to make it sound like Paris can do no wrong. I think that people are beginning to see through the smoke screen though, hopefully some changes can be made when election time comes. I think that Harold Cook did more good for this county than any other commissioner that we've ever had but Lamar and Norman spread so many lies about him that it would be hard to get him re-elected. Hopefully someone, it doesn't matter to me if they are republican or democrat, will send Lamar back to making loans at 30% interest to people who can't afford to pay it back!
