Just got updated to a tornado WARNING!! Mama said she had just talked to my brother and his news said a tornado had touched down about a mile or so from me, but I haven't seen or heard anything other than lots of rain. We need the rain, but I'll be glad when the bad stuff is gone!

Oh, taylor.... be safe! Watching the national news and the tornado damage in several states is just terrible.

Well, looks like I've had a couple of close calls so far - tornado warnings since early, one spotted by radar about 7 miles S.E. of me from me, two different ones about 5 miles N. E., another about 4 miles south, and several others spotted all around, including a couple less than a mile from me. Around 2 - 2:30, the sky turned really dark, then almost brightened to a odd orangey-peach color just to the east of me. We started getting hail that was between the size of a dime and a nickel. Then came the rain again with lots of strong wind and big gust.
Since about 3:00, it's been going between a bit brighter and then really dark with heavy rain. According to the latest info I have, we are under tornado watch until 8 tonight, along with a wind advisory, severe thunderstorm watch, and a flood watch. An empty bucket in the back of Sonny's truck already has about 4-5 inches of rain in it.

I have some windows open, but the temp is dropping and the wind is howling! All the trees look like they are dancing. So glad we didn't have the damaging winds/tornadoes!

Blackberry winter. The high winds are blowing the Tulip Poplars off of the trees. My poor, poor honeybees will have to do ground work for the next few days. I finally shut the windows it was so cold.
BB I may have to do a little Rocky Top dancing to warm up.

Blackberries!!!!! yum, yum! Hunny won't eat 'em though. When he was little his mama mixed some nasty medicine with some to get him to take his medicine. Now he won't even eat blackberry jam or ANYthing with blackberries in it! That's ok... more for me!

Tulip what you do is mix you up some biscuit dough. Then you put them blackberries in a pot and add enough water to just cover them. Let them come to a rolling boil, then add you some sugar and some butter and let them boil again. If you need to add more water to it, it's ok. When you get them to a good rolling boil take a eating spoon and dip you up some dough and drop it in the blackberries just like dumplins. Keep doing that until you get quite a bit in there. Let 'em come to a boil again and it shouldn't take long for them dumpings to turn to bread.
Now, grumpy he likes more juice then bread and I like more bread then juice. So it's up to you.
You can also use apple juice instead of water if you want to.
