Jay, I read somewhere that you moved to this area in august of 1984. So did we, but we moved to Fannin country first. (Dial area, on the toccoa river)

Hey meagin. Coosa, I did move to Blairsville in August of '84. Bought several acres here in June of that year. Came back in August to visit and applied for a job (an after-thought). Got the job and have planted myself here ever since. My husband's sisters have cabins in Fannin County. My only complaint re this area are the huge homes being built on the mountain ridges. But, I am not a millionaire so have no say in these developments. Otherwise, I am a happy camper here.

Gosh, you are female, so am I . I wish this area had not grown so big. (remember before the 4 lane) However, my husband is a licensed builder, so he has had plenty of work. I love this area too and now I live on Coosa Creek!!

Yes, I am female. My favorite bird is a Steller Jay. I do remember before the 4-lane was completed. Sometimes, I take Old Blue Ridge Hwy to Fannin Cty just for the ride. I am in the medical field and fortunately, have always found work here. Glad your husband has been very successful here, too. After all these years, I still feel blessed to be in this beautiful area.

I agree, it seems like a long ride, especially if you're in a hurry. I like to drive those back roads.

Thank y'all for the kind welcome. I made up a name in a hurry cause I wanted to answer a post. My apologies that the name appeared to be male! It was not intentional, just not well thought out on my part.
