Shame on people who write unsigned letters to local newspapers trashing people who speak their minds about corruption by government officials on websites. People who only want their side of the story to be known are undesirables who need to put their coon skin hats back on and go back to wherever they came from.
;D
Keep 'em coming!

Shame on people who use the newspaper to endorse political campaigns. I'm going to vote against the people who they endorse.

Shame on people who talk about enforcing a rule about campaign signs being not allowed to placed on county property and right of ways, evidently that rule only applies to certain candidates.

How soon people forget we were attacked on our own turf. Have you forgotten the day the Twin Towers fell? Now, we are fighting the war at the gas pumps. We need to focus on the problem, our dependency on foreign oil.
All warfare is based on deception.
Sun Tzu's 18 point of the "Art of War" is "All warfare is based on deception. Saying "All WAR is base on deception is clearly a deception and is taken out of context. What follows is...
19. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near.
However, I do believe the USA has done its job. Sun Tzu also said, "There is no instance of a country having benefited from prolonged warfare." Our troops need to come home. We need to focus our efforts at home.
Again from Sun Tzu, "The art of war teaches us to rely not on the likelihood of the enemy's not coming, but on our own readiness to receive him; not on the chance of his not attacking, but rather on the fact that we have made our position unassailable."
It is time to reduce our dependency on foreign oil. It is time to find ways to make our position unassailable.
More on the art of war: Though the enemy be stronger in numbers, we may prevent him from fighting. Scheme so as to discover his plans and the likelihood of their success. Rouse him, and learn the principle of his activity or inactivity. Force him to reveal himself, so as to find out his vulnerable spots.
We can learn a lot from the art of war.

Down with Liemar and fatboy Cooper. They are a disgrace to our fine county. Anyone who calls our honest forum posters dishonest, are themselves dishonest and are not to be believed. I am very thankful for our outstanding forum posters.

I give a queen-sized thumbs down to bloviating newspaper writers who boast that they were "the first" to announce that wal mart was coming to the county. Heck, the rest of us knew it when we rode by there and saw the survey sticks several weeks earlier.
Signed, yours truly.

Dear Viewpoints,
"Wal-Mart serves as a landmark, a draw for customers from outside the area, creating traffic past many small retailers that can increase traffic into their place of business. " Glen Wilkens, Walmart PR.
I'm sure all local retailers look forward to all that extra revenue Walmart is going to bring to them too! Its a WIN-WIN! So all you retailers, don't forget to thank Walmart, along with your Chamber of Commerce and Commissioner Paris, for what they're about to do to you.

The puff piece published in the Sentinel simply repeated PR spin. Where were the hard questions, where is the analysis of what was said? Where is the journalism? Is the Sentinel a newspaper ... or just a impotent repeater of crapola like the NGN?
