Kinda Hard to believe Stephens has the majority of support even when you add all the options together...Do people really truly believe in/trust his leadership and the Sheriff's Dept that this guy has created? I'm not slamming all the deputies; many are good and decent people, but the TONE and ATTITUDE of the Dept is deplorable... several members act as little more than armed and uniformed thugs...our community and our Sheriff's Dept. can and should be better than that...

Frequent, I take exception to your post. That just isn't the case. This last four years Scott has produced a top notch department. You still hear disgruntled people complain about them, but you hear the same people complain about the roads, the animal control laws, the supermarkets and on and on and on. The deal with the sheriffs department is people think a warning should surffice for speeding 30mph over the speed limit. Or the neighbor should go to jail for allowing a dog to bark or someone gets passed on double yellow for going 25 mph UNDER the speed limit and calls it in and nothing is done. (Officer didn't see it) The truth is you could elect the Arizona sheriff that is so notorious and in 4 years people would be circulating the same kind of garbage about him. Its just the nature of the beast. Everybody loves a fireman, even a thug... cause his stuffs catchs fire. But when the law arrives on any given scene at least 50% of the folks present are not glad to see them............ cause they are the reason the law was called. So stop talking generalizations and get real. Vote for who ever you want too, just know that its not a popularity contest.
