Went to Burke's, Walmart and Lowes. Gandered at all of the expensive things that kids want for Christmas that will clutter a nice clean home. Bought none of those. Searching town for a simple black desk for a computer to sit on, that is pretty and cheap. Not one of those plasterboard ones. Did not find one, online or in a store yet.

Darn, I missed Twyla again. I need to go and buy some new chairs for my bedroom. Holly chewed on them pretty badly when she was a puppy!

I picked up a solid wood desk at Roundtree's yesterday. It's a student desk with a place for a slide out keyboard and 3 drawers. The bottom drawer is fitted for the hanging file folders.
They have finished and unfinished and it was already put together.

OK, my carpet is installed, my carpet is cleaned and my table was delivered it had a scarred place in it so they are handling that.
So last night we were taking out time putting red wardrobe together and my phone rings.
It was my daddy. He hasn't been to my house in over 12 years and all of a sudden he is in Blairsville. Well of course my house is a wreck where we moved everything out to clean the carpets and let them dry and all of the stuff out of red's room.
So here we go flying around trying to get stuff cleaned up, I piled up my 2 little rooms and shut the doors, cleaned and straightened the den right quick and everything was almost presentable.
My daddy just retired from Wal-Mart he has drove a truck for them for years and before that was always driving a truck, so on weekends he wanted to stay home. Now he's getting bored after a month. They visited for a good long while and then said "we might come back up here for Thanksgiving. Which floored me, I told him to come on they could stay in the purple room.
We always go down there and what a surprise for me. Guess I will get to cook 2 big meals this holiday season.
Did I tell ya'll that last Thursday my brother said he wasn't coming up and then on Friday at 5:30 lilred called me and said "Guess What, Bruce & Mitzi are in Hiawassee", they have never been to my house before. They live below Columbus.
Next week my aunt and uncle are coming and they haven't been up in over 20 years. They are the ones we were cleaning up for.
Grumpy thinks something bad is going to happen, for 3 different set's of my relatives to come visit within 2 weeks of each other.
I love it.

Anyway, gotta go get some chairs ordered today, pick up some rabbit and chicken feed at lunch. Get home, do some cleaning and start cooking for the pickin party.

I'm thinking I may go check the girls out early & go down to Dawsonville for some clothes. Hubby set up family picture day tomorrow & told me about it last night! We have nothing to wear!!! I think this will be our first family picture we've ever done with a real photographer!! LOL

I did our books yesterday & some early this morning. Had to pay an outragous bill! Been there, done that!
Ready to spend my paycheck now before I even get one. LOL

We drove down the hill 7:00 AM, had to get my daughter meds, so had lunch while that order was being filled, ran to Sav A Lot and now I'm ready for bed, but I've got to make deviled eggs and WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's party night. I'm tired.

Worked all day in Murphy... boy am I a pooped pup! Gotta get my 2nd wind for the party! Scarfing down some chili and already put together my tray for the party... still have to get cleaned up!

We're off to get our family pictures made! Lil girl was complaining that the outfit I had picked out for her itched. She took that off & came out in an orange tank top & a purple, plaid skirt. Hmmmm, let's try this again lil' one.  |
