Wow, talk about sticker shock, tessa! That is expensive. I am way over due for mine and really dreading having to get new glasses because of the cost!

Girls, Girls! remember what I told you now. It's not that the glasses are high, it's that your money is not worth as much! Mark my words now, it's going to get worth less and less!

I've got to get glasses before long too.
$500 is a lot for glasses!
I've thought about going to For Eyes or the optical dept at Walmart.

That stinks bb, I agree, 4:17 in the morning isn't a good time to be posting on here. Hopefully you can get some rest.

You can take your own prescription to the Wal-Mart Vision and they will fill it for you cheaper.
We were a the mall one time and grumpy went into get his eyes checked and got a pair of glasses for less than an office visit at out regular optometrist.

I thought about going to For Eyes but their closest store is in Duluth. I wound up at WalMart (thanks for the hint Nikita). Spent $291 which is a lot better than $500! New glasses for me are expensive because I wear progressive lenses. Hubby said I should consider lasik surgery. I'd still need glasses for reading though. This getting older is a crock of you know what!!

Yep, pretty embarrassing when I've got to get out my reading glasses to read my Dad what it says on his prescription label. I felt like an old fart, which of course I am becoming more of daily.

The getting old I don't mind - it's the wearing out that's getting me!
All I can say about the glasses is thank goodness for Dollar Tree! Spend 6-7 bucks and have glasses scattered everywhere! I seem to have a memory problem as well, so it's a lot more convenient to just have a pair handy wherever I may need them.
