I thought I'd be the only one who remembered that song!!!
When my bunch was little, I think it was my anthem!

LOL! Actually, I couldn't honestly tell you where I first heard the song. I only know that in high school theater, we had to do a modified mime. We had to do a mime with music, and my friend and I did this whole skit with that song in the background, and strobe lights! I will never forget that. Now, whenever things get crazy, I find myself singing it, and my kids look at me like I really DO belong in the funny farm!

The FUNNY FARM is like a really exclusive resort of types....
1) You absolutely have to have children, more than one of course.
2) You must have spent countless weekends with them cooped up in the house due to a rainy weekend.
3) You must have spent many evenings through their school career sitting at the kitchen table working on a project that is due the next day.
4) You must have made many unexpected trips to the store to buy the items for the above projects.
5) You must have fed and entertained countless other children besides your own for many, many weekend overnight stays.
6) You must have bought a pick-up truck load full of items that your children absolutely, positively HAD to have or face the possibility that they would be forever separated from their peers because they would be the ONLY ones in the whole wide world not to have said items.
7) You must have spent hours every single Christmas Eve pulling your hair out and almost in tears from putting together presents that promised on the package just how easy and simple they were to assemble.
8) You must have spent hour upon hour playing referee by deciding who REALLY started it.
9) You must have spent hours in conversation with your children explaining everything in the world from the birds and the bees to why the sky is blue to why daddy has a beard, with all your answers being followed by the question "Why?".
10) You must have endured all the typical childhood illness from nasty colds to chicken pox, from skinned knees to broken hearts.
11) You must have experienced plenty of hugs, "I Love you, Mommy's", and unexpected acts of kindness like a handfull of picked wildflowers. These are the only things that keep us out of the REAL Funny Farm!

I remember that song too however with the current progression to more "different music", well here's the one I use now.
My son laughed so hard when I sang this to him and lilred rolls her eyes.
Whooooooooooooooo... Ya'll gonna make me lose my mind Up in here, up in here, Ya'll gonna make me go all out Up in here, Up in here, Ya'll gonna make me lose my cool Up in here, Up in here.
They stop whatever they are doing immediately and look at me like I have lost my mind.
