I would stay away from politics, religion, jewish people and really long topics. I think people are just looking for fun in this particular forum. At least, I know that I am. I am not being disrespectful of your age. If the year of your birth is correct in your profile, then we were born the same year.

I found this on the Yahoo news this morning, and it kinda ticks me off, and really makes me go Hhmm...... news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20071115/od_afp/lifestyleaustraliachristmasoffbeatIt seems that, in Australia at least (and so far), Santa Claus should not say "Ho! Ho! Ho!" as it "may be offensive to women" because of the slang term "ho" in the U.S. and it's meaning. Now Santa should say "Ha!Ha!Ha!" Gimme a break!!  It's bad enough that "Merry Christmas!" is no longer politically correct - we're supposed to say Happy Holidays! or Seasons Greetings! so we do not risk offending anyone that is not of the Christian faith. I am not one to bash someone else's religion, yet I feel mine is being bashed by the "politically correct" word police! Who is looking out for things that may offend me? I hope the politically correct word police all get coal in their stockings, reindeer poop in their gift boxes, and Santa Claus leaves them a nasty note and tells their mother about their bad behaviour! |
