Our taxes were a joke 8 years go. When we got our first bill we thought it was for the month. We needed to raise taxes. The money is well spent. Norman is so undesirable he wins constant awards for his journalistic talents, supports charities, our schools and keeps us informed. I get up in Norman's face everytime I see him to kiss up in the hopes of getting my picture in the paper-no smell. Like Lamar, Norman is a good time guy who enjoys his life in our town, out and about all the while. I am neither Lamar's or Norman's wife. Is Norm married?  |

Let's be nice. Whine is a friend of Nat's. Nat said so herself. She has a right to like Norm if she wants to.

I ask no one to do anything. The only opinion that matters to me is mine. I am adaptable and love it the way it is. This is my frst experience with network chat and it is so fun. All this writing pracitce, I may ask Norman for a job. It is true tho that awards are easy to get, all you have to do is work and do a good job. It is called having a life. I like to brag, so wil share that there are boxes of plaques stored that I am too humble to hang and too lazy to dust.! No need to be nice on my account.

I will have to say i am impressed with Justin Melicks maturity to handle himself and refrain from the kindergarden name calling i have seen on this site and the personal attacks at Justin himself, Lamar and Norman Cooper have experienced more than their share .It is nauseating to see grown men and women calling someone these childish names.You want to attack Lamars politics or Normans journalism fine but do it in a professional manner.I have no affiliation with these two men but know them when i see them as i was raised in union county and know Lamar and his family. The personal attacks i have heard on here are something i havent heard since grade school. The people i have seen on here applauding and supporting this kind of behavior you see picking up their kids at school or running their businesses and sit behind them in church. you wonder how they disipline their own lives and their families with this kind of behavior. Do unto others as you would have done to you. Remember some of you on here have made these quotes and people know who you are by your quotes and you wonder why they shun you or wont speak to you.To be respected you must have respect.

Good post trackrock. Justin did a good job in the primary. He seems smart and dedicated.
I voted for him in the primary. There has been some tacky hearsay about hard working members of our community which includes all the candidates who pitched in and made the
election season exciting and fun. I was warned this was a mean website at times. Some people do not have the vocabulary and journalistic ego to bash people politely without making personal attacks with rumours. Cabin is a good writer and I enjoy him. Stick around, Some worm who knows me kicked my butt this morning, and I do not mind. I love attention.
Puts me in good company with my heroes Lamar, Norman, Justin, Gene, Harold, Tom, Doug, Steven, Charley and all the good citizens who impose an election on their lives in an effort to serve. Thanks and I look forward to seeing ya'll "on the trail".
It is great to be an American in the high holy season of local and presidential election year.

But for the record, the reason the term undesirable was used against Norm was because he has used it so many times to decribe those that do not agree with him. And he only supports charities that will do as he wishes. Most of them give him a seat on the board of directors. If you don't do as he wishes he will give you NO coverage. Take time to ask around about Norm and the many people who's lives he has ruined. |

Lets just cut to the chase. Cooper is not competent. Since he moved up here the North Georgia News lost the credibility it enjoyed up until the mid-1990s. He is offensive personally and professionally. As long as he is employed by the local paper, important news will remain misreported or unreported. The community deserves a competent and positive local editor but doesn't have one.

Was it the attention loving or bragging that gave me away? I told NatalieWood that I may as well use my name because everyone would recognize my shallow and superficial style. It took Grubworm 2 days. Wonder how long she has held this hostility for me? Wonder who she is? Hope you are one of the people who find my banter amusing and like me. My fragile ego can only take so much!!!!
