I finally slept through the night for the first time in months. Must be cause I worked so hard pulling weeds (mostly crab grass) yesterday.

Tessa, how did you get to be so wise? Not so wise...just old and experienced and finally learning that it is best to "step over or around a pile of crap rather than step in it". I never did like to get my shoes dirty for no good reason! Why get 'em dirty when the pile of crap eventually just disappears on it's own.

Jimmy & Syrie would have helped you, they love pulling grass. You are right about that. I had them out there for a while but they got too hot. It was funny to watch them after I was finished and they went outside. They were looking around and then looked up at me with a look like "what the heck happened out here?"

Hey Nat...if it is green in my yard, I consider it a success story!! Too much shade? We have a little bit of everything. We have so many wild black berries we can't get to them all. I decided not to have grass because we have tons of wildflowers and berries. Just too much to keep up with, especially with the drought.

I stayed home and we cooked dinner (well gary did) on the grill. I must agree that Tessa is a very wise woman. It must be because we went to the same high school together. However, it did not rub off on me!! I tend to get into trouble and Tessa never does!!

Well, we went to Cobb's Mill to eat and afterwards we filled up "ole yeller" I find it is not so painful to fill up more often, when the car is still 3/4 full. It still cost $26 to fill up. There was a new guy working at the gas station and he did not know how to give change? That ought to lose some money for the station owner. Gary gave him $40, got $26 worth of gas and the guy wanted to give him $30 change!! He should have taken it!!

We rode around Pegasus Landing looking at all the $200,000-300,000 RV's spending the week there. Ate at Cobb's too!

Up at 4:45 yesterday and was the Farmer's Market at 6:00. Worked till 1:00 then had to run errands to the bank, library, BusyBee printing, Shake Healthy and Bi-Lo. Bil-Lo is doing away with there by one get one free meat deal;s and dropping their meat prices to below Wal-Mart. Which to me still isn't cheap enough. Home to do laundry, clean house, all the mom stuff. Left around 5:00 headed to Cleveland to pull supers and move hives. It rained and rained and rained. Tryuck broke down at Turner's Corner and had to wait on BIL to bring a new battery. The center post on teh ground side of our battery came out. Went a bought a new battery. Ate a quick bite with BIL and SIL. Headed to bee yard and proceed to lad hives. Some as heavy as 125 pounds. IT WAS DARK. I have told ya'll hundreds of tie, you don't bother bee's in the dark. Grumpy decided we would put some supers on right quick. The bee's didn't like it, they covered me up, thought we were never going to get them off of me. Delivered some honey really quick. Got back across the mountain to a new bee yard we set up and at 12:00 we were unloading the hives. FInally made it to bed about 12:30. I haven't pulled a day that long in years.
