I am a member of a saving advice forum. We have something called the $20 challenge. You start with $20 and see how much you can add to it during the year. Whenever you do something frugal, like clip coupons or use the store advantage card, you add the money you save to the $20 challenge. If you use less money on your electric bill than you had budgeted, you add that money to the challenge, etc. Just anytime you save money you add it to the challenge. It can really add up.

Guess I could be more frugal with the electric. You house is a lot larger than mine. Okay, my goal for the next bill is under $65. Hmmmm, I better go turn off some lights and ceiling fans.

I save all of my change and sort it out in glass jars. My estimate is that I have over $300 in change, I'm saving it for Christmas. I sell on ebay also, and I try not to cash the money orders and checks until the end of the month so I can have all the money to put towards bills. I skipped lunch today and saved a few bucks, it would do me good to skip a few more meals. ;D

Had to get new tires on my car yesterday... checked around and got the best deal at Thomas Tires in town. Boy, tires sure are not cheap!

I take surveys on line. I just took one yesterday that paid me $2. I got a $5 check from Pinecone yesterday and a $10 check from NFOmy survey. I put that in my challenge money.
