It's a sad day when we think that $3.69 for a gallon of gas is cheap! Unfortunately is is the best deal around though.

Anyone been out 129 north lately to check the gas prices? Usually Poteete's old store and the stateline marathon has the cheapest gas in town.

After the election, it'll go up.

It'll go up before the election, the analysts say that if the economy is doing decent then people are more likely to vote republican, but if the economy is bad then it is more likely that democrats will be elected. OPEC meets Friday, so expect $100/barrel oil to be back by the middle of next week. I may be wrong, it has happened once or twice before in my lifetime.
BTW, regular is $2.59 at the Chevron at 129N and Gum Log.

$2.09 at Wal Mart in Murphy. Just another reason why I can't wait until our Wal Mart opens.

$1.83 in town. I guess the oil tycoons saw that the american people were getting serious about finding alternative sources of energy and decided that they'd better put a stop to it. Have you heard any politicians talking about more domestic drilling lately? I didn't think so. This is a temporary thing, I predict $4.00 a gallon will return by spring.

My daughter and I had that same discussion earlier today. She filled up for $21.00 dollars today! That is the cheapest she has filled up for in the three years she has had that car. It really is too bad that we are at their mercy. These prices indicate that we should have been paying these prices all along. Government supported price gouging. Now that gas prices are falling I wonder if grocery, restaurant, and other items that increased due to gas prices will also come down?

$1.65 at the Chevron at Gum Log, and I think I saw $1.69 at some of the stations in town. The price drop is too little and too late for the economy though.
