Wal Mart would be a nice Christmas gift, it would be nice to keep my sales tax money here in GA instead of giving it to NC.

yep, we need to have more money spent in the county to pay for the SPLOST.

More wages paid, more income for families who need work or additional income, more tax revenue, more tax revenue to pay for SPLOST.

For Christmas (my other wish somewhere up there) was for more businesses (perhaps industry) to come in. Again, more wages paid, more income for families who need work or additional income, and more overall tax revenue.
As far as growth causing more traffic and making the town larger, that will happen and is already happening. However, I don't know just when the town got larger last. The city limits haven't changed in recent years has it? The county is, in fact, growing the number of businesses and such outside the city limits.

I would like the economy and the building business to pick back up!

Well, I wish we had a liquor store so I didn't have to drive to Murphy and give them my tax money also. I also wish that gasoline was 23 cents a gallon like it was when I was young!

Coosa, I'm somewhat confused. Earlier you said "We don't want to sound negative about your wish Gray, we just don't want the town to get bigger and the traffic to get worse than it is. " and now you are saying "I would like the economy and the building business to pick back up! "
I'm not sure you can have it both ways, but it would be nice if you could.

Well this little town was busy and building was booming. Now it has slowed down and many are out of work. I just don't really care if Wal mart comes or not, cause the 4 lane is getting to be a dangerous drive. My husband has to drive that road to get to his job site and it worries me. whoever makes all those cones and big barrel things should be rich!!

Coosa, the constuction zones out on the 4-lane are really dangerous. The other day, some dude started going down the road the wrong way. I am sure he was just confused by all the cones and barrels.
