What we have in common!

I have been the member of this and another forum for a long time. A new forum has been formed for all the members that have something in common, we get along with each other!!
We are of many different ages, from the 30's to the 60's! We come from all walks of life! We all have different goals and hobbies. Some were born here, some have moved here and others want to move here.
We have formed a little family. Oh sure, sometimes we get a little mad at each other, but it blows over quickly.

What we don't do is get on these forums and criticize and pick on each other. We don't jump on a forum and post a few slurs about some poster and then move on. We don't bring up something that happened 25 years ago!! We don't care if the person has a cocktail in a restaurant or likes motorcycles!! What is the big deal about cars? Some people love pick up trucks!

We come on these forums to have fun and makes friends. And you know what, we do!!

That is what we have in common.

We get along with each other! We are a happy positive group!

No negative people needed!!

I think it's great that you have formed a new forum for the members here and "over there" who have a common interest and/or who are particularly are fond of each other.

I happen to enjoy the forums where people say what they want to say and/or what they think and are not penalized for it.

Where the discussions are based on what any one particular person wants to discuss, not just what the "in crowd" might want to discuss.

HOWEVER, and this is a big HOWEVER, I think that when a person wants to disagree or say something that might be considered offensive by some, that that person should not hide behind a fake name when they do it.

I agree as well and see nothing wrong with you guys having your own forum. I do not understand why it is an issue and who has an issue with it.

Both public forums are heading down the toilet and will eventually cease to exist.
If the ladies want to have a private forum, that is their right.

I also agree with laurel, we do not have to always agree with each other, but should not hide behind fake names!

Who is hiding behind fake names? In a public forum people use screen names. If somebody needs to know my birth name all they have to do is PM me and explain to me why they have an urge to know who I am and I will be more then happy to tell them. If you are talking about those fly-bys, well they are everywhere. Most likely it is the same fruit loops that post on the topix thread about this place. That is great that it is over there now I hope it stays there. INMO it amazes me that anybody not a regular is a trouble maker, sometimes (not always) the regualrs start the trouble makers. One thought I was specifically targeting her and I am accussed of being somebody else. EVERYBODY needs to realize they had a part in the choas and if EVERYBODY stops it stops. Remember: Everybody does not know you are right.

I was approached to start a separate forum. I did.

The rudeness and nastiness of some on the un-moderated forums were out of hand.
I was attacked continuously by a few, as were others on here.

To ignore them wasn't working and when I confronted them it was turned around and used against me.

Luckily now they have found there own trash talking forum and can carry on their garbage there.

Of course they are still hiding behind their fake names so they can carry own like the people they are. The only set-back to Topix is you can post under anyone's name if it isn't registered so they can claim it wasn't them.

As far I can see there true colors are showing and no one really cares.
A hate group is a hate group and they will never change.

They are even using posters names from other forums to post under.

Totally agree blessed. Look at what happened to a forum member on the other site. Norm took his post & added it to the newspaper with the guys name on it. People looked his name up in the phone book, & called him to yell at him! Psycho's, stalkers, loopy people are out there. Why would I want my real name out there on the WWW??

I do not put limitations on the Lord. I have seen God clean up some pretty ugly people.
As far as your forum, your forum posters, this forum and these posters, topix and their posters, the othe one and their posters. The only one you have full control over is your forum, do let the others have control over you.

The posting has really slowed down on this forum. We don't post much because we do not want to be attacked. How many thousands of people live in this county who are retired, live in a nice house and drive a nice car? Why attack a person because of that??

I have nice houses, cars, and am retired. No one is jealous of you. You are attacked because you are always bragging and putting other people down. Example: eyebrawls. If your life is so perfect, why are you writing on all forums every day?
