Would you give a child tylenol if they have a fever, but have been barfing all day? He's up to 100.08, I'm thinking the tylenol will make him barf more, but he's getting hotter and just got out of the tub. At night we all know it only gets worse.
What would you do?

You both were right. Talked to the insurance nurse. She said bring him in, get a bit of pedialite into him every 5 minutes and also give him rectol tylenol, didn't know that existed did you? I did not, but you learn something new everyday. It will not upset the tummy that way.
Hubby went to get the stuff, we will try that before bringing him in, he's finally ran out of energy and good spirits, he's slowely going off to la la land, he's worn out.

Twyla, us old farts do know a little about doctoring youngins! That pedialyte comes in popsicles, too. I used to keep a couple in the freezer in case my grandson came down with something when he would visit a lot. We used to have to alternate between tylenol and advil for him with his fevers because he would get febrile seizures and we had to get his temp down quickly.

Oh... it was Tylenol and motrin we would alternate with for my grandson... I must have been having one of those "senior" moments, lol! Since we were giving him 2 different things, the doctor allowed us to give it every 2 hours instead of 4.
