It is a big financial company that started before the civil war, 158 years ago. Also, Merrill Lynch got so bad that they are getting bought out by Bank of america. It is an historic day on wall street today. I think that is why the members of the forum are!! Watching the stock market today!!

I'm rich also  I have a beautiful mansion on streets of gold. My Father built it for me. Plus I have a mother and father who love me very much and would do anything for me including bust my tail when I need it. Two wonderful sisters that just can't be beat. Two perfect children who are the apples of my eye, three wonderful grandchildren. Many extended family members that I love dearly. He sent me a husband that I can stroll through the ages of time with hand in hand. The most prized and valuable possession I have is salvation paid for full and free. Yes, thats me washed in the blood of the Lamb. The richest little poor country girl you'll ever meet! ;D ;D ;D |

I went to a VERY exclusive private school but was the only one there who wasn't rich in terms of $$$. The other kids used to say to me, "I'd give up all my money if my parents talked to me and cared about me the way yours do - mine are always traveling and I know the maid/nanny better than my own parents". I didn't give it much thought at the time but sure understand it now! I wouldn't trade money for my happiness, that's for sure! I love my husband, my family, my dog, my faith and on and on...

I am debt free. I paid off my house by age 32! Then only thing I allow myself to make payments on, is a brand new car. That way my husband won't buy a new car every year. Otherwise, he would. He is a real car guy. (We have 6 vehicles for 2 people)

Rich is different for different people. If one is talking about having a million dollars, well it is not important to me. Rich to me is having the Lord in my life, having a wonderful husband who is second to none, and having 3 healthy kids that my give me a grey hair but they are my babies while they are on this earth.
My riches are not in this world, nor do I need them. I come from that same family of royality that Ana speaks of and boy are we rich.
The material things on this earth the Lord has blessed me with are gifts from God.
I deserve none of what I have, but you are right Coosa ANYBODY can be rich and these riches the economy can't rock.

Oh Laurel!!! that is so sad. I can't imagine that as a child. I am very blessed to have parents that love their children to the ninth degree. We always knew that they loved us no matter how little they could give us. We had their love and they were are never ashamed to stand up and proclaim that they are our parents. We are also very fortunate that both of our parents freely and openly expressed their love for us when we were children and as adults.
