Thanks Maddy, Queen of Easter eggs is eggcellent but be really carefully, cause eggs at Easter mean fertility.
So I am glad Easter wasn't here before I met you cause I am almost finished raising babies.

What is the karma about?

When we are feeling childish we (not me) smite someone and it takes away from their KARMA. When we agree with someone we exalt them and their KARMA goes up. I exalt but I never smite.

Admin, for the life of me, I cannot see any useful purpose of the "smite/exalt karma" feature you have here. It makes little or no sense as it appears to be a "I like this person/I don't like this person" way for someone to rate others. There are times when it appears some are smitten "because I just don't like that person" and exalted because "I just happen to like that person" Is that a good reason to have this feature on this fine board? I'm just Someone who is wondering what good purpose it serves. Before I get a lot of answers/comments for a bunch of people, please remember that my question/comment was addressed to Admin.

I agree with what you said Someone. The karma thing has no useful purpose. We should all be allowed to vote on whether we want it or not!

We will vote on it soon.

Thank you!
May I ask if the SW has the ability to allow only one vote per user AND per CPU. That would help prevent anyone from "stuffing" the ballot box.

What's SW & CPU? That's cool to vote on it. Wonder if that will include all the invisible's that are doing the smiting?

Of course. All of our polls are as secure as can be.

M4M, I find it supprising that you didn't know that SW=software and CPU=central processing unit (better known as the "computer")
Perhaps the "invisibles" should not be allowed to vote. Don't know about that one. I suspect there is at least one who doesn't have the, shall we say, nerve to be come visible (again).

If the karma thing is a valuable tool that helps and a vote would have to be cast to determine what its worth to someone, well its not much use to me personally.. its a toy, an ignore user feature would be more of use. People could make their conclusions and just ignore the poster if they are that bad or have no good post posted. I know that someone had mentioned today that folks go by another name or a few different ones, then whatever.. I guess their multiple personalitys can post as much and vote as much in ALL areas and with that knowledge, its hard to take any votes for a serious number here, I also know that there are multiple users per computers. My husband and I have been sharing one here.
I dont care one way or another. I dont galk over peoples karmas.. I read their post that they put out there to be read.
So good luck and heres looking at the post.. and getting knowledge of others feelings, education to offer in their post... humor, whatever is found out there that people have to say..

I thought I knew what it was, just didn't know that it had to do with software! duh! I share a computer with my hubby and girlfriend who comes over to check her email here. Fairydust to me has enough GOOD karma to blow off all the negatives she has. It only proves to me the jealousy that someone has towards her. (oops, there goes another bad one towards me!! ) LOL
