This is something I too have bragged on. I have not seen another forum in a while with so much bling. Hats off on the extra stuff from me except for the karma thing. The tuxedo man is a bit annoying. However, thankfully we do not have to sit and listen to him. The Karma thing is a bit juvenile considering what kind of person elects to actually use it and for what purpose. I posted about the DNA TESTING and my views, and I got smited. I dont know if its funny or sad to be a reason to be smited. Someone apparently disagreed with me tho and thinks we should pay for DNA testing over and over.. I can take that critisizm. Just did not expect to get smited over something like that and with that being one of my first actual post to be graded upon. Then again, it takes all kinds..  The karma I tend to like is the karma that actually gives something more than arguing and negative. So those will win my karma exhaults for sure! I guess the karma some like is different than others.. It takes all kinds. My question is, Admin, what was the intentions of this Karma thing when you initially put it on here? If you want ever voice to be able to be heard, would this not intimidate others from voicing their opinions? Persay about 5 members disagree with one.. and smite one person? I do not believe that this feature was intended on intimidation.. but.. it is a tool that I am not sure personally is gratifying to welcome in people with thoughts and open minds.. I mean.. who wants to pay for a person to have more than 5 dna test..? Yet someone would smite a person for disagreeing to pay tax money for people that do have that many done who get assistance through the DFACS? Blah.. not sure about this tool.lol! Or maybe the person who smited for that.. lol! |

Fairy I agree with what you said about the Karma. I have only been in the area a very short time and don't know a lot of folks yet but I've been smited as well. Maybe I should have used a more positive username.

ah.. I am not that worried about it however, when people want others to come here.. intimidation is what either opens the door or closes it.. and well, that tool I know for a fact has kept a few off of here.. but as you can tell.lol! Here I am.. so I know what kinds it takes.. and it does not really matter about those numbers.
