Well, I had to break down and go see what all the hoopla was about... mac, I agree that we have gone too far on the politically correct side and so many traditions have to be swept aside in order to not offend someone. On another note, though... no matter what the popular opinion is on a certain topic, I also dislike that so many people disregard those that don't think just like they do as being trouble-makers. It is actually interesting to learn what traditions and celebrations a minority culture may observe. The knowledge of what another segment of society believes is not a threat to your own beliefs!

bb, I totally agree with your remark. I would not be offended if someone wished me a "Happy Kwanza" or "Happy Hannukah", just as they should not be offended if I wish them a "Merry Christmas".
