High-Energy Trail Mix Submitted by LANEYTEN I like to divide this into snack size bags for a quick, ready-to-go snack on the run. Keeps me from hitting the fast food! This has less fat & sodium than a bag of chips from the vending machine at work. Ingredients 3 cups multi-grain O's cereal 1-3/4 cups pretzels 1 cup raisins 1 cup honey roasted peanuts 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips 1/2 cup sunflower seeds Directions Mix all ingredients. Store in airtight container. Each serving is 1/2 cup. Number of Servings: 17

While looking for a breakfast cereal that would agree with my diabetes, I first tried the Kashi Go Lean Crunch. 10 Grams fiber, 1 cup serving with 1/2 cup skim milk 240 calories, very low in vitamins and minerals. It was horrible! It reminded me of saw dust and cardboard!
My daughter found All Bran Strawberry Medley and asked me to try it. It is fantastic! 10 grams of fiber, 1 cup serving w/ 1/2 cup skim milk is 270 calories, PLUS 10% of daily requirements of vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin D & Zinc, 25% of Iron, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, and 100% of vitamin B6, Folic Acid, and vitamin B12. The high fiber content keeps you from having the sugar spikes and helps keep you satisfied longer.
Some things may be "better" for you, for if you won't eat it, then it isn't going to help you.
Another twist on the "wraps" Bee mentioned -
1 tablespoon of fat free cream cheese mixed with 1 tablespoon of fresh chopped strawberries makes a good filler a for flour tortilla dessert wraps!
When it comes to tortilla's, I've learned a million ways to use them, from breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts and snacks! The going joke is that I could put dryer lint and salsa on one and Sonny would happily eat away saying Mmm, mmm the whole time!

Thanks Taylor, who would have thought you could get so much use out of tortillas.
I also tried the Kashi, yuck. Maybe you have to be totally vegetarian to apprecite it? However I still have some to finish, wonder if the chickens would eat it uncooked?

being from texas, tortillas are like bread to me. In case you might not know this, there are now very low carb tortillas and multigrain tortillas which are great alternatives to white tortillas. Also, keep in mind that you can subtract the fiber from the carbs to get net carbs and then then multigrain ones prove out to be a good thing to eat. The low carb ones are okay when using meat/cheese fillers but I don't like them all by themselves. The multigrain are okay as a stand alone product. Also keep in mind that the heathier ones are usually in the grocery section by the eggs/milk rather than on the isle shelves - those often have a lot of transfat.

I love the low carb torillas, texie! Found some flat bread at bilo that was lowcarb, but haven't seen it in a while. I could make the hovan style pinwheels with it. Had my Dr. visit today & I'm doing great in the maintaining stage. They don't have to see me for a year now. Need to download some movies on my ipod so I can walk, walk, walk!

After 3 months of working out I do 4.0 miles is 40 minutes. I had to take babysteps on that machine. Next week it is 5.0 in 50, I will keep you posted. Oh those pills I was talking about are Phentermine. I took a half of one and it make me go to the bathroom, anybody that knows me knows that is HUGE for me. It says I can take a whole one, but I think that would be drastic, I need to lose, but I want to be healthy. I found them online a lot cheaper then a clinic when they get here I will let you know if I got scammed. The half one I took I got from a friend that drive to TN for them.

I love those things, when I took them you could eat off my kitchen floor, porch floor or bathroom floor.
My house was spotless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Due to slow drivers, I only had a small amount of time so I did a quick Elliptical workout then hit the stair climber and made my thighs screammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
However, I now have some definition in the front of the thighs, I can actually see the outline of a muscle since I have been hitting the gym regularly, it's about time..
YAE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

If you tan and also exfoliate the "dimples" aren't as noticeable.
