Bee, when you were in TN I found out that my friend Mrs. H. died of cancer last week. I have already told the other girls this. She is the lady who lives at the top of our road in the house with the green roof and has all the beautiful flowers, trees and birdhouses everywhere. My other neighbor and I were talking about her again today. We still find it difficult to believe she is gone. What a wonderful human being she was.  |

I love her yard, it is beautiful. I have seen her outside a couple of times.
I always wonderd what you could do waith a yard that close to the road but it was great.
Sad, we have lost a few good ladies on our road here lately.
It seems like it always the good ones that Jesus takes.

I have had terrible news about my cousin's husband. Last week he was diagnosed with a stage 4 inoperable brain tumor. It is a very aggressive tumor that they figure didn't even start until a month ago and it is now over three inches and does go into the brain with its own blood supply. He will be undergoing a chemo/radiation and some new form of medication with the hopes of getting it under control.
To top it all off, my cousin has been a teacher in a private school for many, many years. Last week she was told she would not have a job next year. All this has happened while she is recuperating from a very bad broken foot, and subsequent surgery, she got when she fell down a flight of stairs. They say when it rains, it pours, and I know my cousin must feel like she is drowning. Please pray for them!

Oh BB how sad. I will be praying for them. We all have seen so many of our friends and relatives with cancer lately. Maybe it's because I am getting old, but I sure don't remember hearing about it this much in my younger years.

Thanks everyone... I told my cousin I put out a prayer request for them and she is very thankful. They will need a lot of prayer and hope in the coming weeks/months.

Spoke with mama a little while ago. She said she had company yesterday evening - my cousin. She is about 35-36. She has an older sister, and older brother, and a younger sister. Their dad died from a heart attack in 1981, and their mother died in 1983 from cancer. My parents finished their raising. Me and Belinda were always the closest, even though the older girl was closer in age to me.
Belinda has been having a lot of "female" problems and went to the doctor a couple days ago. The doctor found a "discolored growth" during her pelvic exam. He told her he was almost positive it was cancer and recommended immediate surgery. Well, she has no insurance so she filled out the paperwork to see if she could get some financial assistance through the hospital. She hasn't heard anything back from them yet. It may take several days.
Please. please keep her in your prayers. I know she is worried to death. She has had a hard life in so many ways. She got out of an abusive marriage a couple years ago and has recently settled down with a really good guy. She is currently waiting on her first grandchild! She's way too young to let this stuff get her. Besides, she's pretty special to me -

Oh, taylor... so sorry to hear about your cousin... I hope she at least got a biopsy to be sure! It would be terrible to go through unneeded surgery.
