Prayers are needed for a friend's 3 year old girl, Kailyn. She is in the hospital, undergoing tests for what is believed to be a Wilm's Tumor on her kidney.

Thanks for that email Cubby. Prayers for her going up as well as for my two manager's husbands. One is out of the hospital I believe but the other one is having his surgery today.

Thanks for the prayers everyone...please keep them coming. Little Kailyn had her kidney removed a little while ago...the tumor was the size of a golf ball and was cancerous. Now, I have another request...my mother had knee replacement surgery a few days ago. This morning, she was taken into ICU...she had gone unconscious and had labored breathing and really low blood pressure. They are saying it is a pulmonary embolism. She has a past of heart troubles. They are giving her a blood transfusion right now because her blood pressure was critically low. At the present time, she is "stable", but the docs haven't decided what the plan of action is yet. She can't have the blood thinners because of her hemoglobin being so low...at least not yet. Please offer her up, also, in your prayers...I greatly appreciate it...

Babe, Maddy, Taylor, everyone...thank you. This is the harder part of being up here...and them being so far away. Well, one moment at a time is all that can be thought of right now. My mother is a pretty tough lady, hopefully she can tough this one out.

You guys truly are wonderful. Thanks again for the prayers. We certainly need them and greatly appreciate them. I just got word that the docs are now ruling out pulmonary embolism and are saying they are "puzzled". Hmmm... I really don't know what is going on, but I do know I am feeling much better that they have changed their tune on that one. She does have 3 aneurysms that need to be monitored regularly, and my sister reminded them of that, and they said they have been "conferring" about that. The biggest question now is why the major drop in blood pressure and hemoglobin? They have her on oxygen and they are transfusing the second bag of blood now. I hear her coloring is looking so much better! Please keep the prayers coming! They NEED to find out if she is losing blood somewhere...and if so, where. More tests are being performed.

...and about Kailyn...word is that she is doing "ok" post surgery. They said the kidney was "dead" and they don't believe the cancer has spread beyond that. She will need to go through chemo and radiation, though.

Cuby, Prayers will continue - so sad about what Kailyn is facing, but at least they think they got it all.
As for your mother, prayers will continue for her and hopes that they find her problem. Whenever I have had to have surgery, unless they give me something to counter-react the anesthesia, my BP will drop, my breathing becomes very shallow which causes my oxygen level to drop, and basically, I just don't "wake up" when I should. They don't know why, but it's just the way my body reacts. At least I know about it now and can tell them ahead of time. I really gave my parents a scare when I had my knee surgery when I was 14!
Thanks for keeping us posted -
