Root of the problem
The Rev. Donald Cozzens, author of the 2000 book "The Changing Face of the Priesthood," estimates 50 percent of all Catholic priests are homosexual.
Psychotherapist Richard Sipe, a former Catholic priest who has written and spoken widely on the priesthood, says 15 percent of homosexual priests are sexually active.
"Isn't the huge amounts of AIDS among the clergy a symptom of the problem?" he asked, citing a 2000 Kansas City Star estimate of the rate of AIDS deaths among priests that is at least four times that of the general population. Former Bridgeport, Connecticut Bishop Walter Curtis covered up. Curtis testified in 1995 that the diocese deliberately shuffled pedophile priests throughout parishes to give them a “fresh start.” In addition, Bishop Curtis admitted destroying records of complaints against some priests

The website Roman Catholic Faithful reports that The Philadelphia Inquirer ran a story that “detailed the fact that the Archdiocese of Philadelphia let attorneys, who worked for its insurance company, harass, intimidate, and actually file lawsuits against people who simply informed officials in the archdiocesan chancery office of instances of misbehavior by priests.” This article by Thomas Droleskey goes on to say that “the very people who should be trusted to deal with matters that pertain to the salvation of souls and the physical protection of the flock are the most untrustworthy, crafty, devious, self-serving people imaginable, concerned only about legal and financial liability, not about the objective truth” ("The hypocrisy is astounding," Thomas Droleskey). Evident mounts of payoffs in exchange for silence. U.S. News & World Report quotes a woman, dismayed at parents receiving money from Church officials in exchange for silence on abuses. She writes, “Shall it be construed that multiple families put a price on their children’s safety without taking responsibility for seeing that this never happens again to anyone else? I wonder where Mr. Cozzens got his "estimate" from? Unless he investigated every single priest one can only assume that he is pulling numbers from his posterior. And don't even get me started on the Washington Times, they are against anything that even moderate conservatives support. I think Catholics are taking alot of unnecessary heat for the actions of a few extremists. You don't throw the whole bushel of apples out just because a couple of them are rotten do you?

I'm Baptististic in my beliefs. I believe in the priesthood of the believer. Unlike most Baptist, I don't believe you have to go to my building to be saved or to worship for that matter. The Church is 24/7. You can't put God in a box of bricks and mortar, but that is what a lot of Christians try to do.

My church is the ecclesia, a community built on Jesus, the Christ. Christ is our model and source of life. Are you a Christian, sometimer? If you are, then you are the church (the ecclesia). The church is the living, breathing, and organic collection of all believers who believe in Jesus Christ, the source of life. I joined the Church of Jesus Christ when I was 10 years old. We are his temple. The church is right here -- right now -- where we are connected...right here on the Internet.

Sometimer, there are homosexual priest who are Baptist, Protestant, Catholic or whatever religion. Don't put your trust in a man-priest. Put your trust in the High Priest.

Whether I worship God in a church house, my house, the Waffle House, the Huddle House, or by the river -- it doesn't matter. We are his temple, the living church. Denominations are religions of men; not religions of God. God has no religion, but it is OK to worship at the place of your choice. I will never condemn you for your choice.

Short--I think the folks in the pews of the Catholic Church are just regular people and There are people in All denominations who are child molesters. However The Catholic "Church" is an entirely different organization. It is a "state". The "Holy See" is the secretary of it's state. Condelezza Rice has been asked to intervene on behalf of this Church/State in several sexual abuse cases. One involving the current pope because, he is "head of state" The Bank of Rome controlls a big hunk of the worlds money. Most people do not understand "concordants". They relate to Catholism as just another church.
