P.S. sometimeman name a country that has not had a bad leader, name a family that does not have a wayward seed, name a person that does not have a flaw? ? We are meer mortals and we fall short on all accounts. Do a few bad seeds ruin the religion? Does God's teaching waiver if we all, each and every one of us, fall short? If that was the case religion would be void all together. God says not to forgive 7x7, but forever.

Twyla, It is all a battle for the mind. The king James wording is "whosoever will" It just means choice, we have a choice.
It began in the garden when God placed the tree and said don't. Much time past. A man was born who's daddy was not a human. The scriptures say, " he was made flesh", They say, "he dwelt among us", "We beheld his glory and perceived him not". He died to insure the choice, the free will, would continue.
The seventh day Sabbath identifies this God. The other fellow is an impostor.
" How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?"

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst woman and blessed is the fruit of they womb.
I assume, not being Catholic, you do not believe Mary was born without original sin?

I believe Mary was a Godly young woman whom God asked to bare his child. She consented.

I believe that when people truly pray, God gives them the knowledge to make good choices, it is those choices that make fabulous things happen.
If someone does not pray for answers, but chooses what they please, then things happen in a worldy manner, which usually entails selfish rewards and poor results.

Was it a good choice for Mary Surratt to have chosen to use her boarding house for the conspirators to plot the assignation of President Abraham Lincoln?
Was it a "fabulous" thing to assignate the President?
Do you think it "fabulous" for the Church to have provided safe houses and secreted Mary's son, John, along to Canada and put him on a boat for Europe?
I think it was "fabulous" that he was found as a member of and in the Popes guard in Rome and that he was extradited brought back to the U.S.!

Tulip, I think the jury was hung and could not reach a verdict.
I am implying Catholicism is a force trying to rule the world. The United States and the Constitution was seen as an impedimenta to that goal.

transubstantiation
Transubstantiation is the alleged process whereby the bread and wine offered up at the communion service have their substances changed to that of the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ.
Now you see Short, Transubstantiation, is at the heart of every Mass. I don't believe it. I don't believe many Catholic people actually believe it. It must not be true. It must be a lie.
"And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life."
"For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie"

sometimeman, I'm quite certain that the people who committed the crimes which you've presented in this topic were not speaking to God, they were not practicing Catholics and they were not driven by the Holy Spirit.
How can an entire topic exist about bashing the Catholic Church? It's Christmas, give it a break and talk about something that somewhat resembles Christianity.
