OK I am having a problem with this.
If a white person commits a crime to a black person, the media has to play the race card.
If a black person commits a crime to a white person, race is rarely mentioned.
Case in point the 2 white female students murdered and then the black reporter that was attacked in South Carolina.

I am really tired of all this so-called politically correct nonsense. I think that Ms. Ferraro had a legitimate point. Sen. Obama does not have much of a resume other than being able to deliver a good speech.

You know what really gets me guys like Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton just to name a couple have made a living out of racial posturing, they go out to find the down and trodden black citizen doesn't matter if he/she is guilty of some atrocious crime murder, rape or the like they totally ignore the victim and claim society has a racial issue since the days of Dr. King.
I think Bill Cosby has a handle on these peoples motivation, it's like he said on TV one night "75% of the people in prison are black, why because they have no desire to get an education and a job to better themselves they murder one another that's why more blacks are murdered and in prison they are killing one another." These people need to forget about the race issues they are so fond of bringing up and bring peace among their people that's where the answer to their problem is !

You're so right Ghosthunter. It seems that Hilary's party knows this & is throwing out little bits of this & that to get everyone chompping at the bit now for Obama, then it turns out to look like the race card being played. That minister that said those comments was SO very over board too. Obama was even shocked at those comments.

I am sick to death of having to hear about the plight of the "poor black man/woman/child". I am sick of hearing the stories played up by the media that try to excuse their bad behavior based on them being black, whether the behavior was a crime or a woman having 4 or 5 kids and living on welfare.
As for "race" cards, how quick do you think the card would be played if white America started a National WHITE college fund? What about WHITE Entertainment Television? What about a IVORY Magazine? The National Association for the Advancement of WHITE People? Yeah, that's what I thought. Why have we allowed the media to continue such, to the point of making many people feel almost guilty simply for being white?
I am NOT a racist. Never have been. I will admit to being prejudiced though - I am prejudiced against actions and attitudes, regardless of color, creed, sex or national origin.
I think people such as Jackson, Sharpton, Farrakhan and others should be "run out on a rail" - not for being black, but for being hateful, meddling, and truly racist people.
Instead of feeding hatred by using the "race" card, why not play the "it's your choice" card? Instead of preaching "the whole world owes you so sit on your butt and whine about it", why not preach "get an education, get a job, don't do illegal things".
Regardless of color, life is about choices. If you make the wrong choices, you have to be expected to live with the consequences. If you make the right choices, then you get to enjoy the fruits of your labor. Simple as that -
