Just noticed the glitch! I was using my aunt's computer and I didn't think it went through - Sorry! Anyways, the problem was that I have been unable to get online. My computer would freeze up every time I tried to go online. Yesterday, it dawned on me that it started messing up after Sonny had hooked up my printer to the computer. I asked him if he connected the phone line to it because it has a fax, along with the printer, copier and scanner. I had him to disconnect it and now I can go online! Can't figure out what the problem was or is, but...I'm back!!

Howdy Ya'll! Gran'ma Gertie here. Jest wanted to let ya'll know that me n gran'pa had a mighty fine Christmas. Had a houseful, had a good meal, and exchanged a few gifts. Gran'pa got up early, then ate some breakfast and went to take a nap. He said he was gonna need the rest so's he could be ready fer dinner! Sure'nough, after dinner, he went back fer another nap!
The tree was quite purdy this year, but simple. I only put about 3 strands of lights, some old glass type balls, a ol'fashioned glass tree topper, and a little stockin' fer all the young'uns. I reckon I'll take it all down the day after New Years. I usually leave it up 'till then.
Now that the holidays is about over, it's soon gonna be time fer spring cleanin'. Seems like there's always somethin' to do and somethin' to keep us busy!
Ya'll have a Happy New year, and remember to write down the weather fer the old twelve days. It may be a ol'wives tale to some, but it's always been purdy accurite.
'Till next time, Gran'ma Gertie

Ok, tulip, to explain the ol'twelve days weather thing - Each day of the new year is supposed to let you know how the weather will be through the year. Fer instance - if'n January 1st is sunny, then most of the month of January will be, the 2nd is fer February, the 3rd fer March and so on. If you git a rainy day on the 7th, then you can expect rain in the month of July. Always worked purdy good.
queenbee - I got my mustard greens, black-eyed peas and hog jawl jest waitin' to hit the pot. Add a pone of cornbread and a glass of tea and we're all set!
