What do you all think about it? It will be financed by an extension of the splost and it will also include new athletic facilities for the high school. I'm tentatively for it, as long as it is made available for everyone to use and not just certain people. The civic center building has seen better days and just isn't big enough to serve our needs anymore.

I agree the old civic center is an eye sore.. I'm for a new fine arts complex and athletics facility if everyone gets to use it!

School facilities are strictly for use for school functions only. The Board can charge anyone outside the school system for using any facility if the Board so chooses. Check out the SPLOST thread under Politics/Government Topic.
