You Girls are so right! Why pay 3.00 for toothpaste when you can get it for 1.00......Dollar General and Family Dollar sure help stretch the dollar.
What was the name of that store that used to have a little of everything that was located somewhere around Ingles and Family Dollar? I liked that store and sure hated when they closed.

I remember Sky City, it was a miniature Wal Mart. Speaking of which, Wally World has a big sale going on with their school supplies.

I would never ever ever step foot in Walmart - check out the prices at Family Dollar and Dollar General. If you stay out of Walmart you'll be surprised how much you save becuase you won't buy stuff you don't need.

Walmart has a much better selection of items than Family Dollar and Dollar General, of course that's because they have so much more room.

I buy a lot of generic stuff at Dollar General now. I used to go to Wally World once a month to stock up on some basic stuff. Now it's like once every three months or so and then it's only because we are in Murphy for something else and decide to make a quick trip to the blue box. Our goal is always to get in and out as quickly as possible.

As you may have heard, each of us will be getting a tax rebate check to stimulate the economy. If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China.
If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs.
If we purchase a computer it will go to India.
If we purchase fruits and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala.
If we purchase a good car it will go to Japan.
If we purchase useless stuff it will go to Taiwan and none of it will help the American economy. We need to keep that money here in America. The only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it at yard sales, since those are the only businesses still in the US.

You are supposed to spend it, not save it....to help the economy.

With the economy going the way it is, we need to save every dime we can. Saving it is the only way to stimulate the US economy all other mmoney goes to other countries.
