As long as our yarn doesn't get caught in the power tools.

Does anyone here collect stamps? We get some in from foreign countries sometimes and they are too unique to just throw away.

I'm still working on the "puhple" afghan for hunny's granddaughter. Haven't worked on it as much as I probably could, but since I will probably give it to her for Christmas, I have plenty of time to finish it! I did about 3 rows yesterday when I was waiting at the doctor's office.

I made a small one for red and a couple for baby gifts, but not on a large scale.
They are really easy.

Not me, ruby... I bought a quilt kit a couple years ago. It was all the pieces already cut... I got so frustrated piecing the blocks I put it away and haven't picked it up again. I think I was being too critical and trying to make those perfect corners on my very first quilt. One of these days I will drag it out again and give it another try. Then I will have to learn to put it all together once the top is finished! I think there are places in town I could go to get some lessons.

The sewing place in town has classes, can't remember the name, but it is across form the Kangaroo store and the saddle shop place.
They are also several quilting groups that meet.

There's a lady that comes into where I work, and she has brought in some quilts (and other things) that she's made, to show to me. Beautiful!! I've found a couple of patterns online, and am thinkin' about givin' one a try...

Try the raggy quilt first, it's the easiest. You don't have to worry about turning seams under and all that. Make you you get the fabric that frays, not just any material will work.

Now tulip, you just look through the hole and push the button. Why don't you check to see if a continuin education class is available at at college close by. Or check with a camera store to see if they can help or know of a class.

I thought that was a pretty pattern, too, bee. If I ever get this "puhple" afghan finished, I may have to try that one out!
