They approached us last week to buy advertising but after going through it, it's almost ALL advertising. I'm going to wait for more articles before I invest that much money. I must admit it has potential. I think Taylor should contact them, don't ya'll?

A magazine called North Georgia something or other is suppose to have pictures of our bee yards and an interview with us at sometime.

Gamtnbabe, thanks for bringing this site to our attention. I hadn't seen it yet. But I have seen the magazine in town.
Hopefully, someone associated with the magazine is reading this thread. Here's some constructive advice.
The more easy your magazine is to read the more likely people are to read it. I'm not talking about the words used. I'm talking about the typeset -- the font. Some fonts have been proven to be easier to read than others. That's why some fonts are more commonly used than others and why magazines are printed in black ink on white paper.

To publish a magazine that is color and slick glossy pages cost a lot. I assume it is advertiser driven. I have a copy of it.
Scott Fountain is the publisher/sales director. Chrissy Fountain is the editor. Sirus Jones food editor. Cynthia Lynd, Paige Turner are teh graphic design team. Sean King, Gail Dillard, William Howell & Kristin King are the account executives Tom Fountain, Dr. Stacy Davis, Glenda Taylor, marie Defoe, Cindy Williams, Kristin King are Contributing Writers.

40 page magazine 12 articles 3 pages of recipes 2 maybe 3 articles written to generate sales ( my opinion)
But hey it's free, so who am I to complain.

Now let's discuss those pages;
pg 2; keep the fonts the same, don't mix them up and remember when using red that it doesn't necessarily stand on a a light or even a really dark background.
Table of Contents is pleasing to the eye .
Do away with red borders.
The editors page is really bright and look's like Spring.
Builders First Source is a nice ad but that background is too busy.
Gardening Tips are nice and very informative.
Puzzles were great.
Recipe page is very pink, but they are Easter recipes.
Red Cross page and recycle information pages, were very informative and information we need to know.
Sibling Rivalry page is informative but the bold, blue fonts with the black outlines made the words look like they run together.
I work in the publishing industry, so please take my postings as helpful hints not criticism.
