I don't have a problem with Tommy either. BUT I do think that the only people who should be able to levy any sort of taxes on people should be elected and not appointed like he is.

Has anyone's opinion of Tommy changed since his son was arrested? I like him personally but I question his job performance. Nepotism is rampant in the school system with his children being employed. It probably extends to the school board also, their families and friends get special consideration for jobs that are paid for with our tax dollars.

Shorts ; I find it interesting that family members of elected officials can get a job or position easier than non family , qualified or not .

And those are a lot more dollars per pupil than nearly any other county in the state. If there aren't kickbacks involved I'll eat my hat. |

I am keeping the Stephen's and Nichols families in my prayers. They are going through a very rough time. You can bring up a child right and they can still go wrong.
I do agree about nepotism in this county....it is everywhere!!!

They're in my prayers also rose, I personally know both of those guys and it's really hard to believe that they would be involved in something like that.

Sin is an awful thing-
Go back and read the words Joshua said to Achan in chapter 7. He said "My son" but they stoned Achan to death anyway.
It would be hard for me to hit Tommy in the head with a rock. But, we got to deal with it. We got to deal with Liemar. Stealing from the people is an awful thing. It's sinful.
The local governments and schools are conduits for public funds used to keep the donkphants in power. The object of Schools has become "The Budget" The students are not eally imporant.
The local boys (all votes for state office are counted locally) help the guys out in Atlanta and the boys in Atlanta come to their rescue. They send money.
$14,000 per year per child is ridiculous!

Sometimeman, I think what God is telling us is...the first thing you must do before you address the problem is to be sure you have accurately identified just what the problem is. (Or could it be Neal Boortz who said something like that?)

I like Tommy Stephens..he has children just like the rest of us do we can't be held responsible for what our children do when they grow up and move on in life all we can do is build faith, character and pray that God will keep them on the straight and narrow..if they mess up we still love them because they will always be our babies no matter what their age, Let the court system judge these boys guilt or innocence that is not for us to do, gossip will always be a part of life but understand a knife wound or bullet wound will heal, mean words can not be taken back, that wound will never heal ... Tommy my prayers are with you and your family!!
