Quote from the NGN : " This weekend was a time to not think about the morons posting their printed diarrhea on idiots.com, or to be concerned with folks who spew forth their slanderous nastiness and the backstabbers who did not abate just because the back they were stabbing was out of town. " Hi Norman, glad you're here!

He needs to count to 10 before he publishes his nastiness. Is he nuts or paranoid or what? He must think that the forums are really "hot" competition for his rag of a newspaper. Makes me want to post more in this forum.

I have seen people from the Sentinel post on the other site and they may be here also. I wonder why Norm doesn't have the guts to post here? It's easy for him to print his garbage in the newspaper where people can't debate with him, I'd say that if he got into an online debate with the people who post here that we'd get the best of him pretty fast! I'm sure the video that admin posted on the main page got his attention, he must've learned something from it because there were several pictures of Lamar on the front page.

In a galaxy far far away called Blairsvillecity.com the War of Words continues. I guess it is the geek in me, but I actually googled www.idiot.com (AND IDIOT.COM), the domain name Norm used. www.idiot.com is the domain for "Idiots Book Store" on-line. It is interesting to me that the Web Master at idiots.com is reading Sun Tsu The Art of War. I don't know if the analogy between war and politics makes sense to others, but to me an election is a from of war and my theory is that is why the manape race loves politics so much. To me, politics is more interesting than football, The Atlanta Braves (even if they are winning), or any of the other sports that we gather at the arena of our TVs to watch. My friends, even Mrs. Manape, tell me I travel to the beat of a different drummer, but does this not describe and election of two political opponents and war that proceeds the great battle on election day, as follows? From Sun Tsu The Art of War:

BACK UP MANAPE!!!! There is nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, that is more important than college football. At least with college football you know your odds and can gauge what's going to happen by performance AND THEY AREN'T GETTING PAID FOR IT!!!! Not in politics. You know they have a code of ethics and rules to play by, not in politics. You know that by trying to be the very best you can be and giving 100% you get reward with recognition and a posible bowl game, not with politics. You know that in football they have to prove themselves physically and mentally, not in politics. Don't be trying to compare football down to a dirty, political level. I will have to put on my orange Vols shirt, turn my hat around backwards and march with the SEC nation on ya!!!

You know I had a conversation with a feller one time and he said to me
"Ya'll take football serious in the SEC, it's like a religion."
I replied to him
"Religion? Heck no, it's more important that that."
I personally invite you over to my home this October to sit in a recliner (I have 4) and educate you about how important football is to the economy as we sit and watch the Vols whup up on some other team..
Peace ya'll

I wrote to the editor asking him to publish the other forum's online name in his paper, so that people could join in. He refused and I don't know why.

He don't like the competition with his "Viewpoints" and "Letters to the Editor"!

You think that is the reason? The other paper did a whole article on the other forum.

Like I said before, he wants his opinion on things to be the only one that people sees. He considers this and the other board a threat since we can discuss and debate local issues. He's all bark and no bite and hardly anyone takes him seriously, and he's obviously a coward since he's too scared to post here. I remember him sending out a round of nasty emails to members of the other board a couple years ago and he even registered an account over there and tried to attack the Sentinel but the members figured out very quickly who he was.
