What's everyone's opinion on it? One of the few things that Lamar Paris and I agree on is that people should be allowed to do whatever they want with their property. Now with all the growth and seeing our mountains being raped I am beginning to change my opinion. I am very against being told what color my house should be painted and what day of the week to mow my grass but I think that a very limited amount of countywide restrictions would be good for us, such as limiting the amount of clear cutting (especially for developers) and requiring buffers between property lines. There is already a restriction on moving older mobile homes into the county which I think is reasonable. I wouldn't be against a sign ordinance as well, some businesses haven't maintained their signs in years. I saw a place on the murphy hwy that still had the "404" area code on it which was replaced in the late 80's.
