Lamar is like all "little" big shots. He's lived off other people's money so long he's gotten snooty and uppitity. He'd rather worry about whats good for him and "his" than about whats good Union County. His run in with the republican party was not good!

Don't you just think he's being a politician? I don't think he lied. Ever heard the "don't ask, don't tell"? I do feel we need more than only ONE commissioner here. We're too big of a county to have a soul commissioner.

I could care less if he lied about all the drinks. I just want to know one thing? WHY HASNT HE PAVED THAT ROAD HE WAS SUPPOSE TO PAVE?

There's tons of roads to be paved, aren't there? Even the paved ones need to be paved. I'll have a margarita while I wait for the paving trucks.

Re;Lamar Paris and road issues.I have hard proof of schemes by Mr. Paris taking private property as comm. just to serve himself and his friends. When all or most of his shady and illigetimate acts surface ; hopefully, he ends up in jail.

Politicians never lie. I have no problem with alcohol being sold in the County. However, I can certainly see why people are upset. The referendum was suppossed to decide the issue. The Churches came out strongly and won at the polls. Now, it seems that an establisment will soon be serving alcohol by the drink in Union County, so therefore the referendum meant absolutely nothing. The by the drink issue was not mentioned in the referendum but to most people it was a question of alcohol or no alcohol.

Lamar has lied to alot of people about alot of things! He said the road I live on would be paved within 3 years. He told me that 6 years ago! So I'm not one bit surprised about him lying about the alcohol issue!

Hold Lamars feet to the fire with the law. File a motion {writ of Mandamus} with the clerk of the superior court to require Lamar to publish the statement in news paper as called for by O.C.G.A. 36-1-6. This law is short and simple can I post it here? The Union County Republicans should be up to the task?

tinkywinky, I'm too far away but I did it in another county. The two superior court Judges recused themselfs. Court administrator appointed a retired senior judge. I haven't been able to force the court into a ruling as of yet. I need more people in more places to attempt to force their Superior Court into action. The Republican party is weak in this county.
