Justin would be crazy to run.
Right now you all think he is wonderful, I wonder how Justin will feel when he does something that someone on here doesn't like and this he is anonomously attacked?
Does anyone actually believe that a person will be accepted as a Commissioner and he will please 100% of the people all of the time?

He's definitely going to have to learn to "take the gloves off" as Liemar says. I think he'd be a d**n good commissioner though.

I would think living in other countries and living a Christian life among Muslims , Buddhist , and other religions has prepared him some what . He was out in the public in those other countries .

Yep, but being a 1 man commision in Union County, he might as well paint a verbal target on his back.
Remember he has to answer to bubba, sometimer, oscar, roundtree, shortcircuit, ape. Countless others also.

I think he would be an excellent commissioner, however he would be crazy to do it.

Justin will answer to all the people of Union County , But he will show no favoritism to any one or group . He will follow the law .

Justin is a nice young man but I think that might be a problem for him. Young and inexperienced.
But if he thinks he would like to get into this, then go for it!
QB is right though, if he should get elected it won't take long for the honeymoon to be over and these guys on here will be attacking him just like they are attacking lamar. In fact, some of the people on here used to support lamar but then he did or didn't do something they didn't like and now they bash him.
It will be no different with Justin or whoever else is running. Nobody can please everyone all the time. Even JC couldn't do that!
IF, and that's a big IF, Justin should run and get elected, he will discover to his dismay, that it won't be as easy as he thinks it is.
He will not be able to come charging in on a white horse to rescue Union county!
But let him find out for himself. That's the way it works in the political world. I wish him the best. I honestly, sincerely mean that.

Roundtree already has Justin on a pedestal.
I hope he doesn't fall off to quick.

Queenbee, is it really that hard for someone to abide by the law, and do what really is RIGHT?? Something that will help all of the great citizens of this county? Justin is a man of faith, and a man of truth....that will be seen in the coming months i'm sure. I congratulate Justin on the move to run for Commissioner.

I know, there's only 10 in the state of GA that still have Sole Commish's. I'd say if we were still in that 10,000 range of residents, it would be normal, but we're WAY past that now. No reason not to, except for someone who likes POWER!

Maddy,
That is not only 10 in the state of Georgia. Georgia is the only state that still allows sole commissioners, and that means there is only 10 counties in the nation.

I believe there are only nine and all in Georgia . And yes , Justin will put the issue of multiple commissioners to another vote , if elected .
