At 76 I keep telling myself, "back Off" you have done your part. I was really cold standing out there sat. morning exercising my right as an American citizen, but it was gratifying all the people that gave me the thumbs up as they drove by in their heated cars. I don't think anyone can ever say I have been apathetic in my concern for my community, nor can they say I benefited financially for the things I have been involved in.
We have a big problem in this community at present and we all (All the citizens of Union County) need to join together to correct it. Unknowing to me our Commissioner drove by and took down names so he could try to vilify us yet again. Although I have tried to steer clear of him he never misses an opportunity to try and make me out as a bad character.
I think he made a major mistake in his attack on Justin however, because this young man has been nothing but a true Christian and gentleman to everyone. He is young but we all have followed him in his career. Even as a reporter that was enjoyable to read, he sacrificed his career rather than succumb to the pressure Lamar put on the Sentinel. He would not sacrifice his principles for anyone. Justin took his unjustified problems and went on with his life. He doesn’t make an issue of his transgressors, he just forgives them as our Savior tells us we must and continues on with his goals in life. I don’t think he has a vindictive thought in his body.
Justin to me is a born leader and organizer. His natural demeanor is quiet and reserved. Don’t let that reserved attitude fool you into thinking he is not smart. When he does talk about something you realize this young man has thought out his answer a lot better than a lot of his older associates. He is, and has the type of personality and savvy to handle the job of Sole Commissioner if any one could, in spite of his young age. His work organizing the benefit dinners for the families of our injured servicemen with the Conservative Country Coalition has quietly drawn several of our US senators and Congressmen as well as other famous dignitaries. Most people don’t even know he is behind it because he is not a braggart, he does it because it’s the right thing to do.
You all have seen his responses on this site and they are all genuine, that’s just the way he is. What do you think? Wouldn’t a reserved, smart, problem solving gentle young man be a better representative of the people of Union County? Maybe if he reads enough encouragement from people on this thread he may just take the plunge and challenge the tyrant for his job. Sonny
