Do you like to read? What's your favorite book or what are you reading now?
I love to read! I'm reading "Hannibal Rising" right now & "3 weeks with my brother". Hannibal is confusing right now. I'm just not that into it. 3 weeks is a great book so far. Nicolas Sparks & his brother wrote it.

I enjoy reading murder and mystery, true crime stories also.
I have the following in my library:
Dan Brown books
All of Stephen King Novels hardback and paperback. Except for the Dark series.
John Grisham mostly in paperback.
Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta series.
Karen Harper who writes fiction about the Amish and also does a mystery series around Queen Elizabeth.
Beverly Lewis who is a christian writer and writes series about the Amish. She grew up in the Penn Amish area.
Of course my books on tape which I listen to on the computer and my MP3.
Reading is a joy to me. You can go anywhere and never leave where you are.

Finished King's "Lisey's Story" the good girl always wins!
I have renamed my happy place in my mind Boo'ya Moon.
Her husband, a book writing guy dies and she has to go through his stuff to clean it out. Major libraries want his collection of writings. Willing to do most anything to get them.
You will have to read the book, cause that's all I am going to say

John Grisham's "Innocent Man". His last 2 novels seemed to have slipped from his usual writing but he has redeemed himself with this one. Based on a true story, but he holds you from chapter to chapter until you are finished. Makes you question the legal system in small towns.

Reading a book beofre seeing a movie always helps you follow it better, if the movie follows the book. Most of the John Grisham and Stephen King movies do follow the books. If I had not listen to Davinci Code before seeing the movie I would have been really confused.
I do a lot of book downloads to my MP3 player from netlibrary.com, it's free, I don't get to read as much as I like and listening to a book on tape/mp3 get's me my fix.

I don't know what an MP3 player is....lol...but I love to check out books on tape when I am going on a long trip by myself. It sure makes the trip seem shorter.

An MP3 player is like is like an IPOD. The one I have is a Creative Labs Zen. I researched on the internet the pro's and con's of various players and got this one at Wally World.
I can download songs, pitures or books, because it has up to 1 gig of memory without an external card. I use it with earphones or the device I purchased that let's me hear it from car stereo speakers.

How much do they cost, if you don't mind me asking?

Depending on how much memory you want and 1 gig seems to be plenty and also what brand you want anywhere between $50-$300.
Before I purchased, I went to Amazon.com and read reviews of different MP3 players people had purchased . I was leaning toward an IPOD but didn't need all the extras it came with. They also offer some nice accessories for it that I would like to have had, but I couldn't justify the cost with the item. I only use it to listen to books and music.
My first one was a Rio, came off of E-bay, but it was an older unit and didn't interface well with Windows XP, plus it would just stop in the middle of a book and start over, even though I bookmarked my place.
The one I got at Wally World was a Creative Zen and I paid around $139 with taxes. If I had ordered it offline I could have probably saved about $10.00 but I wanted it now and the color I got was hardly made anymore, Orange & White.
If you get one make sure it has bookmarks. It's great to mark your place when you have to shut it off, expecially if you are 10 hours into a 14 hour book.

Read "Cell" by Stephen King, several weeks ago. Thank God that nothing like that could really happen!
