brats were on sale for only $2.99 per pound/package, so that would have been cheaper at Bi-lo... at least for this week. For future reference, though... are the brats at Save A Lot the Johnsonville brand? I have had some others that I didn't like the seasoning in them.

I just think everyone should know that I got in Babe's line at the Save-A-Lot to buy my gum and was so disappointed. I like taking things slowly, but Babe is one of the best cashiers ever and she just moved those people through like greased lightning riding the Concord! Even so, she deserves a raise.

No, I got to shake yours. My infamous video was social commentary not complaining. Over the years, I have seen many letters in the paper whining about slowness at the store. But none from me. One of the stories my Dad likes to tell is about how when we first moved here, back in the day, he was buying some flowers, I guess he had done something wrong, and he thought they were one price. When he got to the register, they rang up as more and he said, oh I thought they were listed at another price. The cashier walked with him back to the flower rack and said, oh they do look like they're that price and gave him the discount. And there were people in line, but they didn't seem to mind. Now, Blairsville has changed since then, but that is the kind of customer service I appreciate. If you want to see some sloooooow cashiers you should go to Asia. And often there's no smile with the service. And you should see me at those self-check outs. It takes me five minutes to find the bar code and then 29 swipes to get it to ring up. But at the Sav-A-Lot I saw this cashier and said, she looks like a BABE, let me get in that line. But there was no time for small talk with her, just zip, zip, "Thank-you for contributing 5 cents to the "new pro-shop" fund and bettering our county, good bye!" She's gonna get that raise if they know who to give it to. She won't wear a name tag you know.
