I was a step-grandmother at around 2:30 this morning.
Baby boy, 7 lbs 3 ozs, 20 inches long
My daughter in law labored from 10:30 yesterday am, until last night and they did a C-section, which was good because the cord was around his neck 2 times.
He is healthy, AND PERFECT, and she is doing great.
Will get to see him this weekend, so stay tuned for a picture posting.

Actually, it's the 2nd, they had a girl 2 years ago.
This is my step-son and his wife. They live in Atlanta and we don;t get to see them much.

OK just remember we are the grandparents, not the parents.
They have named the baby Atticus Scott. Atticus is from the lawyer in the book "To Kill A Mockingbird" it is also big in Australia and means integrity.
I was hoping for Jake. I just don't see Atticus as a name when I picture a orange jersey heading down the field for a touchdown, I will have to call him Gus.

He is growing like a weed and is just to pretty to be a boy. Healthy and doing good.
