Harold vs. Justin should be interesting.
Harold is the more familiar candidate but two losses to Lamar may have people wanting a change.
And he's getting into the race pretty late.
If Justin has a little campaign money to spend for ads and what not, I could see him surviving the primary.

I agree with you Ron. Like I've said before even though Harold has my support unfortunately he DOESN'T have my vote, in the primary anyway. I plan on voting a democrat ticket to help the good democrats of this county vote Lyin Lamar out of office in the primary. What would REALLY be interesting is a Nelson vs. Cook ticket in Nov.

Manape Ramblings
Keep on posting Ironman. The idiots of this forum have this obsession of trying to intimidate people who don't agree with their narrow views. That's just the way their small minds work. We try to be kind and tell them their views are pathetic, but they ignore our council.
I really do understand...they are highly frustrated because they are largely ignored by rational thinking people of our community. I have a 2-year old grandson just like that. Normally, he is happy, but he gets pretty agitated when he isn't fed. We love him anyway.
Of course, I wouldn't call them baby's because I am trying to play nice. But they do cry like a baby if they don't get their way. A prime example is the SPLOST vote. We won by 80%...need I say more? Yes sir, it is hard to argue with success, but they still try.
As bubba puts it, "WE MAKE THE SAME REQUEST OF THE COMMISAR, HE IGNORES US AND SPENDS HIS TIME MAKING PERSONAL ATTACKS AGAINST HIS OPPONENTS." They ignore his wise council, too. Duh, go figure. They just don't get it. If you act like an azzhole, you won't get what you want. Bubba, maybe you should read "How to Win Friends and Influence People."
It's hard to argue with success. Most of the people I know, think Norman Cooper makes Union County's & North Georgia's Largest Newspaper more interesting. Compared to the mis-managed Union Sentinel, Kenneth West must be doing something right.

Bubbadabubba, I see we won't get any stimulating conversation from you.
Are there any people here who want to carry on an adult conversation?
QB, I agree with your tenants for simple living. Those are words to live by. Do you think you can teach bubbadabubba how to be a likable person? He seems to have a problem relating to adults. We could all use your help.
Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-control, and Indomitable spirit are all tenants we can live by.

In a strange sort of way, yes. Now, I'm a Democrat and will be taking part in my party's primary, I would rather not see Harold as a general election candidate again. If he is the Repubs nominee, then if Lamar survives his primary and the odds are he will, then Lamar will be a shoe in again. We've got to try something different people!

Grow up my little children.Play ground activity like calling each other liars is very childish behavior. Who wants to grow up and be smarter than a fifth grader? 1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.

I agree, The SOS bee, we need to try something different. We need to quit fighting and let public officials know what we want. We need to discuss key issues. We need to all get along and work with our county officials, whoever is elected. After all it is government for the people by the people. Radical childish behavior does nothing to unite the people and solve problems. It won't work in a democratic-republic. You need to win friends and influence people. Get a grip. We need to show the world we are adults.

24/7 Church for Men
As for manape and my house, I will be a man and serve the LORD. If any among you wants to grow up and discuss the key issues of our day, I will be here for you.
I leave you with the words of Paul's Ministry in Thessalonica. The same teachings of the word written 2000 years ago apply to today in blairsvillecity.com...Have a Blessed LORD's Day and strive to be MEN in the sight of God. Remember Paul's teaching.
1You know, brothers, that our visit to you was not a failure. 2We had previously suffered and been insulted in Philippi, as you know, but with the help of our God we dared to tell you his gospel in spite of strong opposition. 3For the appeal we make does not spring from error or impure motives, nor are we trying to trick you. 4On the contrary, we speak as men approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please men but God, who tests our hearts. 5You know we never used flattery, nor did we put on a mask to cover up greed—God is our witness. 6We were not looking for praise from men, not from you or anyone else.
As apostles of Christ we could have been a burden to you, 7but we were gentle among you, like a mother caring for her little children. 8We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us. 9Surely you remember, brothers, our toil and hardship; we worked night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone while we preached the gospel of God to you.
