The members of Stations 4, 7, and 8 of the Union County Volunteer Fire Department would like to invite you to our Open House on Saturday, April 26th at Station 4, which is located at 6065 Moccasin Road. Drop by anytime from 11 AM to 4 PM. We'll have good food and music. Bring the kids to meet Sparky the Firedog. Come out and talk with our members, see the station, and see how your donations and contributions are being put into action for our community. You can find more information at our website, www.ucfd4.com. If you can’t make it to the station, you can drop by Granny’s Cottage, which is located by the traffic light at Murphy Hwy. and Nottely Dam Road. We’ll be selling boxed lunches as a fundraiser from 11 AM to 2 PM. We hope to see you there! |

This is always a great way for the public to meet the Volunteers and see where the money they donate goes. Bad timing this year, the roads will be closed at lunch time for the stupid tour de georgia. According to the legal organ it will be at Poteet's around 12:00 or 12:30.

Shortcircuit, the boxed lunches will be hamburger or hotdogs, chips, cookies, and a drink, and they will sell for $5 each.
Bunkerhill, yeah, the bike race will be coming through then. We'd already set our date for the Open House before the dates for the race were announced. We're just forging ahead. We're hoping that the race will through by 1 or 2 so that people who don't want to get caught up in the traffic can come on by the station. We'll be there until 4 PM, so if you can, stop by.
We're working on other events for later in the year. So, if you can't make it this time, maybe you can come by next time.
