PapaJohns.com Bowl receives two-year tie-in with SEC The bowl will receive the SEC's lowest bowl-eligible team The 2-year-old bowl had matched teams from Conference USA and the Big East Conference USA moves to a new bowl against the Big East in St. Petersburg, Fla. BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- The PapaJohns.com Bowl could feature a Southeastern Conference team the next two seasons.
The NCAA approved recertification of the bowl Wednesday, and the Dec. 29 game now has a tie-in with the hometown SEC. The 2-year-old bowl had matched teams from Conference USA and the Big East.
Conference USA moves to a new bowl against the Big East in St. Petersburg, Fla.
The PapaJohns.com Bowl has a two-year deal to receive the SEC's lowest bowl-eligible team. That gives the league nine automatic bowl berths -- if the SEC has that many eligible teams. If not, the Birmingham game will have to find an at-large team.
South Carolina was bowl eligible last season but sat out the postseason when the SEC filled its eight slots.
The switch to the SEC will cost fans a few bucks, though: Ticket prices will go up from $30 to $40.

Perrilloux's dismissal will end up benefiting a loaded LSU team
There was a far better chance of LSU imploding with Perrilloux than without him It would be naïve to think the perennially loaded Tigers can't win without Perrilloux LSU's situation feels similar to that of Texas the year after its 2005 national title Ryan Perrilloux's off-the-field behavior obviously pushed Les Miles to a breaking point.

Friday's news that LSU has finally dismissed troubled quarterback Ryan Perrilloux may well have provoked giddiness among fans of the Tigers' SEC rivals and other assorted national contenders. Already, the defending national champs are headed toward their imminent demise.

I can't wait for football season.
Got my old faithful orange t-shirts out of their resting place. Lilred took a look at my weathered and worn gameday shirt and gave me the eye roll along with the lecture I get everytime I wear it.
I DON'T CARE! It's well loved and you can't get another one anywhere, I have tried.
Her bubba brought her a gift from Florida. A bobble head gaytor with shades on. I told her I could rip it's head off and we could put it headless in my big orange T ride and now she has hidden it. She get's it out and shakes it's head at me.
I knw all gators aren't gay-turs, but it's a football thang, you just wouldn't understand, unless you are a die hard fan.
I LOVE'S ME SOME SEC!
