I wouldn't call it being behind,I just didn't know if you had ever heard it before, sorry.
When I bought my truck in 05 it had XM but the college football program wasn't on it yet.I'm glad I kept my subscription. It's really hard picking up the games or Volcalls on that 1410am station.

AM only works good after the sun goes down. The frequencies get more bounce between the earth and the atmosphere. That's why along time ago you could tune your transistor in Georgia and hear the Louisiana hayride.

Plus antennas work line of site, if they can't "see" a signal, then they can't "hear" a signal.

Georgia mascot, Uga VI, dies ATHENS, Ga. (AP) -- Uga VI, the bulldog that represented the University of Georgia during two Southeastern Conference football championships, died from congestive heart failure at his home in Savannah, the dog's owner said Saturday. At 65 pounds, Uga VI was the largest of the English bulldogs that have represented the school. University officials said the football team also had the winningest record under his nearly 10-year tenure at 87-27. Uga was known for stalking the sidelines in a shirt with a 'G' on it. During hot football games, Uga would sometimes take a break on a bag of ice. "He was a good one," owner Frank W. "Sonny" Seiler said in a news release issued by the university. "What can I say? He had a marvelous record. He was a very strong and healthy dog. He was the biggest of all the dogs, and he had the biggest heart. It just played out." Seiler said he noticed that the 9-year-old dog was breathing heavily at his home Friday night. He gave the dog a bath to cool him off and then headed to his veterinarian where he said the dog "died peacefully." Uga VI became the school's mascot in 1999. He was the son of Uga V, the only college mascot to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated. He was only 1-year-old when he replaced his father as the public face of the university's athletics. Uga will be buried in a vault in the Southwest corner of Sanford Stadium, where the Bulldogs play their home games, with his predecessors. Private ceremonies are expected early next week. A successor to Uga VI will be announced at a later date. University of Georgia Athletic Director Damon Evans called it "a sad day for the entire Bulldog nation."

Quartet named to Maxwell, Bednarik watch lists July 3, 2008
Four Tennessee footballers were added this week to a pair of preseason award watch lists.
Sophomore safety Eric Berry and junior linebacker Rico McCoy are on the initial 2008 Chuck Bednarik Award Watch List, while senior tailback Arian Foster and junior quarterback Jonathan Crompton find themselves in the early running for the Maxwell Award.
Each list is comprised of 75 players.
The Maxwell Award has been presented to the outstanding collegiate football player in America since 1937 and is named in honor of Robert W. “Tiny” Maxwell. The Chuck Bednarik Award has been presented to the nation’s top defensive player since 1995 and is named in honor of Chuck Bednarik, a former Penn and Philadelphia Eagles great.
Semifinalists for the Maxwell and Bednarik Awards will be announced in early November and three finalists for each award will be announced Nov. 25. The winners of the 2008 Maxwell and Bednarik awards will be announced as part of the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show in December. The formal presentation of these awards will be made at the Maxwell Football Club Awards Gala hosted by Harrah’s Entertainment Atlantic City on March 6, 2009.

Phillip Fulmer – Head Football Coach
Fulmer’s new deal is worth $2.4 million for the 2008 season and escalates to $3.3 million in 2014 for an average of $2.99 million a year over the length of the agreement. It includes a $1 million longevity bonus in December 2012 to reward him for his 20 years as head coach of the Vols and automatic raises of $150,000 each year. He will receive additional automatic raises for meeting certain goals: - Win the SEC East and play in the SEC Championship Game – an additional $100,000 for a total of $250,000 - Play in a BCS bowl game, but not win the SEC – an additional $150,000 for a total of $300,000 - Win the SEC Championship – an additional $350,000 for a total of $500,000 - Win the BCS National Championship – an additional $850,000 for a total of $1 million.
Fulmer’s base salary rises from $325,000 to $375,000. In addition, Fulmer receives monies for radio and television commitments of $900,000, an equipment and apparel fee of $700,000, and an endorsement and appearance fee of $425,000. In addition to the new raise incentives, Fulmer will also receive the highest bonus allowed based on the achievement of the team. The level valuation is as follows: $37,500 for a non-BCS bowl, $50,000 for SEC Eastern Division first place tie, $75,000 for SEC Championship game appearance, $100,000 for SEC Championship or appearing in a BCS game, $150,000 for appearing in the BCS National Championship game and $250,000 for BCS National Championship game winner.
“I am very proud to have Phillip as our coach for many years to come,” said Men’s Athletic Director Mike Hamilton. “We're fortunate to have such a talented and proven coach leading our program. He and his staff have done a terrific job building on our rich tradition and positioning Tennessee football for the future.”
Tennessee finished the 2007 season as the Southeastern Conference Eastern Division champion, ranked 12th with a 10-4 overall record. Since 1997, no SEC team has won or shared more divisional titles than Tennessee with six (1997, 1998, 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2007). During his tenure at Tennessee, Fulmer has recorded a 147-45 career record, winning more than 77 percent of his games. Fulmer averages nearly 9.5 wins per season with six SEC Eastern Division titles during that span and two overall league crowns. His record leads all active coaches with at least 10 years of experience.
Since Fulmer has been at the helm of Tennessee’s football program, UT Athletics has seen donations rise from approximately $4 million in 1992 to more than $40 million in fiscal year 2008.
Wonder if he needs a girlfriend?
