My Dad was in WWII on the 1st wave to hit Normandy Beach. He was in the Army.He made it onshore to the airport before he got hit with schrapnell. He died in 1998. My uncle was in the navy on the same wave. His ship was hit and he run it back to port ,I think it was standing standing up in the water. He got a medal of courage. My step father served in the Marines. I served in the US Army and the Virginia National Gaurd. Thank you to all that have and are serving. May God bless you. I met a woman that needs prayer for her husband that is serving now.

Today, remember the valiant and brave men and women who have given their sweat, , tears, blood and very lives in service to our country. Someone had to pay the price - Also, include the families of those who lost their loved ones. They too, have given a great sacrifice.

I think about that song that says, "All gave some and some gave all". Sort of tears at a body's heart. Thank You to everyone that has sacrificed

I'm putting this post here for Memorial Day. We remember you, our fallen brothers and sisters. From the creation of our Nation and down through the years and wars we have fought till today. Most of you fallen have been our best and brightest and not only do we mourn your loss but we mourn what our Nation could have been had you been with us. We have our freedom today because of your sacrifices and we are a grateful people. I will remember you Bill, Jerry, Deacon and Bobby. You are always in my mind. Bubba that is so touching and you are so right. These heros could have only made a great nation even more so.
