Results from the state social studies exams sixth- and seventh-graders took earlier this year will be thrown out because of problems that caused the majority of students to fail, State Superintendent of Schools Kathy Cox announced. my.ajc.com/W0RH01E7257FD7B2E2BDA2BC5633B0

60% passing means 40% failed!!! So what is going to happen with that 40% I don't know how many students that equals, but if they retain all 40%, next years 8th grade will be massive. Where will they put all of them?

Where will they put all of them? I think most can take summer classes to "catch up" so they will not be retained. That is gonna ruin a lot of summer fun for a bunch of kids!

CRCT is Georgia's way of testing our kids?! Well I don't agree with it at all when the curiculum is taught so fast that the children don't have time to absorb what they need to learn in order for them to pass this test. Sometimes I believe this is alot of undo stress on our children when they have to pass the classes & the test, but the test determines whether they are promoted to the next grade.
